In order to improve the comprehensive literacy of primary school English teachers in the city, and discuss the overall teaching model under the guidance of the big concept of primary English core literacy, our Academy of Educational Sciences will hold a workshop in Mingde from May 19 to May 20, 2021. Primary school and Huaqiao Primary School held a two-day competition for high-quality English lessons in primary schools in the city. More than 200 primary school English teachers in the city participated in the observation and learning. The 20 participating teachers used innovative teaching design, smart teaching methods, unique teaching methods and the wonderful interaction between the children and the teachers in the classroom was really splendid. The teachers watching the scene were completely immersed in it, and there were bursts of applause from time to time. This event not only built a platform for participating teachers to tap their potential, show their style, and surpass themselves, but also created an interactive opportunity for all teachers who observe and learn to study, discuss and promote professional growth. We evaluate and analyze from the following four aspects, discuss and share with teachers.

1. New era, high comprehensive quality of teachers

The teaching goal based on the overall teaching design of the unit under the guidance of core literacy and big concepts is to require teachers to thoroughly understand the textbook , and to understand the interconnection between classes and each other. The inherent support is to set up and build scaffolding for students on the basis of the existing level of students and . For students to gradually understand and master the subject content, set up a step-by-step upward ladder.Combined with the characteristics of FLTRP's teaching materials and the secondary teaching objectives of primary English in the new curriculum standard, it makes specific provisions from five aspects: language skills, language knowledge, emotional attitudes, learning strategies and cultural awareness. We know that the teaching objectives under the background of the new English curriculum are more diversified, which is why we should design the teaching objectives as a whole. Based on this, the good quality of teachers is an important premise and basic guarantee for a good lesson. All the teachers who participated in this competition have solid basic English skills. They are all able to proficiently organize classroom teaching in English, pronunciation intonation standard, the language is fluent, contagious, natural in teaching style and rich in expressions. The writing is standardized, the difficult points are highlighted, and the fresh and beautiful writing on the blackboard creates a relaxed, harmonious and equal learning atmosphere for the classroom. Throughout these classes, the outstanding contestants include Meichuan Town Xiao Zhang Lanping, Wu Shi attached teacher Guo Xiaoli, Xiaoqiao Primary School Chen Nan, Quentang Primary School teacher Wang Jun, Libian Primary School teacher Shi Liyan, Dajin Primary School Guo Hui Teachers, Ruan Yuan from Experimental Primary School , Wu Yanfang from Experimental Primary School , Zhou Huihui from Siwang Town Primary, and Cai Jinjing from Siyuan School . 2. New ideas and unit teaching goals

English is a language, and its greatest function is pragmatics, so we should focus on cultivating students' four basic skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing as a whole. The comprehension and thinking abilities of primary school students are not yet mature. Due to the constraints of real-life contexts, students lack an environment for oral language training. As a result, students' oral English ability is far from enough, especially the difference between Chinese and Western cultures.
