In order to summarize and refine the experience and practices of Dancheng's first and second high schools over the past five years, in response to the "Action Plan for the Development and Improvement of County General High Schools" issued by the Ministry of Education and nine other departments, recently, the monograph "On the Road Crossing the Road - Exploration of County Revitalization" by Liu Chengzhang, Party Secretary and Principal of Dancheng's First High School," was published, providing a practical "Dancheng Plan" for the revitalization of county centers, and presenting a tribute to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
"On the Road Crossing the Road - Exploration of Revitalization in the County" has a total of 200,000 words and 295 pages. It has four parts: the branch school speech, the branch teaching management research summary, the school's initial work plan and the management cadre learning materials. It collects management concepts, arrangements and deployments, experiences and practices, work plans and learning materials formed in the work of Dancheng First High School since July 2018. It is a practical record and true portrayal of Dancheng First High School's work over the past five years.
Once upon a time, county-level general high schools (hereinafter referred to as county-level) were far ahead in the quality of school management, changing the fate of thousands of rural students, creating remarkable "county glory", and making indelible contributions to basic education. However, in recent years, due to various reasons, some county-level general high schools have fallen into school difficulties: excellent teachers leave, high-quality students are lost, and school performance declines... For a time, the county's style is no longer there, and the "county dilemma" or "county collapse" phenomenon has attracted high attention from the country. In the new journey of building a moderately prosperous society, the county center is responsible for providing talent guarantee and intellectual support for rural revitalization. The countryside must be revitalized, and the county center must be revitalized.
Dancheng Yi High School As a high school with a remote geographical location and underdeveloped local economy, it has also encountered the same dilemma and fell into a trough. Since August 2008, after Party Secretary and Principal Liu Chengzhang led the new leadership team of the school to take office, he has made a series of explorations and attempts. Through measures such as updating educational concepts, concentrating limited resources, innovating management mechanisms, and stimulating teachers' vitality, he has forged ahead and climbed up the obstacles. In the 10 years in 2018, he has risen against the trend and achieved certain results. He has created the "Dancheng One High Phenomenon" in the province and even the whole country, polished the "Dancheng One High Brand", set a benchmark for breakthroughs in difficulties and rising in adversity for the vast counties across the country, and provided the "Dancheng Plan" for the revitalization of the county. In the five years since 2018, Dancheng Yigao has embarked on a new journey again, with five years of answers and outstanding results.
The rise of Dancheng First High School fully demonstrates that in the exploration of revitalization of counties, external "assistance", "help" and "blood transfusion" are of course important, but more importantly, the county must first be self-reliant and self-improvement, explore the path of revitalization in running schools, and find the password for revitalization. Today, the "Dancheng Plan" for revitalizing counties is condensed in this book, hidden between the lines, hoping to play a role in attracting the revitalization of counties across the country and make due contributions to rural revitalization and the construction of a moderately prosperous society.
