In recent years, whenever freshmen start school, Liu Xiuxiang, deputy secretary of the Party General Branch and vice principal of the Experimental High School in Wangmo County, Guizhou Province, would tell students the story of studying with their mothers on their backs, and would take them to their hometown to see the old wooden house where they lived when they were young. html When he was 04 years old, Liu Xiuxiang's father died of illness. His mother suffered from intermittent mental illness due to excessive sadness and lost the ability to take care of herself. "In order to take care of my mother, I have always kept my mother with me from junior high school to college," said Liu Xiuxiang.Hard work pays off. In 2008, Liu Xiuxiang was admitted to Linyi Normal University in Shandong Province (now Linyi University ). His story of "carrying his mother to go to university for thousands of miles" became well-known after being reported by the media.

During his college years, although Liu Xiuxiang was not well-off, he did not stop helping others. He sent some of his part-time income back to Guizhou to support his three children he met when he was picking up waste when he was in junior high school.
"After graduating from college, I entered a company to work, and I didn't plan to come back at first." Liu Xiuxiang said, thinking that he and his mother would be fine. But one day, he received a call from his child whom he sponsored, saying that he didn't want to study anymore, but his repeated persuasion was ineffective.
This phone call deeply touched Liu Xiuxiang's heart. He realized that there should be many children like this who dropped out of junior high school in their hometown. So, in 2012, Liu Xiuxiang resigned and returned to his hometown to teach, and he wanted to let more children out of the mountains.
"Because I walked out of the mountains through reading, I came back to tell my children and parents that reading can change my destiny." Liu Xiuxiang said that students' motivation to strive should be stimulated through inspirational education.
In order to persuade students, Liu Xiuxiang launched the "Study Helping to the Countryside Action". He often rode a motorcycle, entered his story into the small horn, and went from village to village to encourage students. Since then, Liu Xiuxiang has traveled to various townships in Wangmo County, riding seven or eight motorcycles, and more than 1,800 students have returned to school because of him.

In the past ten years of teaching, Liu Xiuxiang has not only done a good job in daily teaching and other work, but also delivered inspirational speeches across the country. Up to now, Liu Xiuxiang has delivered more than 2,000 public welfare speeches, using his deeds to inspire more people to pursue their dreams.
"When I was in school, I would ask him for help, and his story inspired me to move forward." Wang Daifen, who once received help from Liu Xiuxiang, said that when she was in her senior year, Liu Xiuxiang came to her school to teach, paying special attention to and caring for poor students.
In Wang Daifen's eyes, Liu Xiuxiang is a very sunny and warm person, and communicating with him can often give people positive energy. "His experience is very touching. I also want to give back to my hometown like Teacher Liu when I have the ability." Wang Daifen said that inspired by Liu Xiuxiang's spirit, she also chose to return to her hometown Wangmo County to work after graduation.
While motivating students spiritually, Liu Xiuxiang also continues to help students in financial difficulties materially. In order to better carry out work, Liu Xiuxiang Studio was established in 2020. The studio's work includes inspirational speeches, teacher training, student moral education and financial assistance for poor students.

Recently, when the reporter came to Wangmo County Experimental High School, he happened to meet Liu Xiuxiang's studio organizing students to distribute the latest social assistance funds. At present, Liu Xiuxiang Studio has connected and supported more than 4,000 students, with funding exceeding 10 million yuan.
