Shen Haijun studied for a PhD to help the development of the integrated circuit industry

Shen Haijun has more than 20 years of IC packaging experience and has rich capabilities in introducing new products (materials), improving process, optimizing process and innovation. Shen Haijun presided over and participated in 6 special projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology, was authorized to 10 international and domestic invention patents, won the Jiangsu Science and Technology Progress Award in 2015 and 2017, and was selected as the "333" talent training target in the 4th and 5th periods of Jiangsu Province. Although he had achieved great results, Shen Haijun had never systematically learned the knowledge related to integrated circuits and had no systematic and comprehensive understanding of the entire system of integrated circuits from the front end to the back end. This bottleneck made him think about studying for a doctorate.
"In China, the number of doctoral students in the field of integrated circuit back-end is far less than that in front-end and mid-end fields. I have been working in the back-end of integrated circuits for many years, and I want to systematically improve myself by studying for a doctorate and contribute to the development of the integrated circuit industry." Shen Haijun strengthened his determination to return to colleges and universities to continue his studies.
Nantong Institute of Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications has closely cooperated with Shen Haijun's work unit for creating a one-stop integrated circuit packaging and testing design and processing public service platform. In 2021, Nanyou added a doctoral degree authorization point for the first-level discipline of integrated circuit science and engineering, becoming one of the first 18 universities in the country to be approved. Shen Haijun locked the target school for his doctoral studies in Nanyou. He registered in May this year. After multiple assessments, he finally got his wish in September.

Shen Rui graduated from Jiangsu Nantong No. 1 Middle School. During the days of sprinting for the college entrance examination, Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications has always been Shen Rui's goal.
