Microsoft OneNote can help you detect and fix spelling errors as you type. This saves time and effort while keeping your notes error-free.
As you type, OneNote automatically checks for possible spelling errors, underlining the words that should be checked with a red line.
To check for spelling errors, control-click the underlined word and select the appropriate option. If available, click one of the suggestions to replace the misspelled word.
Click "Ignore" to reject the error detection.
Click "Add to Dictionary" and OneNote will not detect the word as an error in the future.
Click "Smart Search..." to quickly search for words.
To check spelling on the entire page, click Tools - Spelling.
In the Spell Check pane on the right, click Ignore to skip the currently selected text and continue to the next item. Click "Add" to add the currently selected text to the dictionary, and OneNote will not detect the word as an error in the future.
Select the replacement word in the list, then click Change at the bottom of the pane.
To turn on or off automatic spell checking, click "OneNote" - "Preferences..." on the menu bar.
In "OneNote Preferences", select "Spelling".
Under Spell Checking and AutoCorrect, deselect the Automatically correct spelling and formatting as you type checkbox.
