Early this year, it was reported that as Apple began experimenting with two touchable displays, Apple plans to create a combination of foldable MacBook or foldable iPad in the future. A report shows that the Apple R&D headquarters has promoted the development of 20-inch foldable devices.
Apple has reportedly launched a development project for a display device of about 20-inches. While there is no specific commercialization plan for this project, Apple's goal may be to launch in 2027.
First, Apple needs to apply OLED panels to its range of products before it can start selling foldable devices. As iPads and Macs still use LCD (or miniLED) technology, OLED displays are expected to be launched in these product ranges in two to three years. This foldable MacBook (or iPad) won't be a reality until 2027.
This MacBook has a 20.25-inch display when it expands and a 15.3-inch screen when it collapses. While Apple does not currently offer a MacBook or 15-inch iPad with a 20-inch display, the company needs time to understand what its actual app is.

Interestingly, this report says that Apple is actively developing foldable iPads to replace iPad mini under 10 inches around 2025. If so, the iPad will be available a year after the company launched its first OLED tablet. The
