According to Lu Weibing, 210W fast charging is not only an increase in wattage, but also a huge R&D project, including a series of technological innovations in the fields of charging chips, batteries, data cables, chargers and cooling systems.
For example, the 120W fast charging released last year requires two 67W charging chips to work together, while 210W fast charging requires three 100W charging chips to work together. The faster the charging speed, the more heat it emits, so Redmi has also made several upgrades to the cooling system.
