Apple released the second beta version of iOS 16.1 today, making some significant changes to the charging indicator on iPhone and fixing some bugs. We've summed up all the features in the second beta below.
battery status bar visual charging indicator
Apple Added battery percentage in iOS 16, battery percentage in the battery icon in the face ID iPhone status bar, and in iOS 16.1 Beta 2, this feature has been improved to show a visual indication of the charging level.
As the battery runs out or is charged, the battery icon will move throughout the day, making it easier to see the battery at a glance. Prior to beta, the battery indicator in the status bar showed percentage, but the battery level was static and always full, which is sometimes difficult to determine the iPhone's battery level with a quick look.
battery font
Apple has updated the font used by the battery icon, slightly increasing the size.
Lock Screen Charging Indicator
Now, while charging an iPhone, the battery percentage is displayed above the time when the iPhone starts charging for the first time and each time it wakes up from sleep.
This allows the power to be clearly indicated when clicking on the iPhone display without unlocking the device. The all-weather display does not display the battery, and you need to wake up the screen of the iPhone 14 Pro model to display the battery power.
Copy and Paste Fix
iOS 16 users see constant copy and paste prompts have been resolved in iOS 16.1, and you no longer need to explicitly approve each copy and paste license. While this has been fixed in iOS 16.1, we expect Apple to fix this issue with an iOS 16 bug fix update scheduled for next week before iOS 16.1 is released.
No Camera Shake Fixed
Report shows that the error causing the rear camera to shake and vibrate on the iPhone 14 Pro has not been resolved in iOS 16.1 beta 2. Apple said that this issue will be resolved in next week's iOS 16 update, and we look forward to the release of iOS 16.0.2.
