Excellent screen quality, Precision Pen support and decent battery life – these are the main selling points of Lenovo the latest mid-range tablet, the Tab P11 Pro. The tablet was launched during IFA 2022 with a suggested retail price of $399 for the Lenovo Tab P11 Pro (2nd gen), while the Lenovo Tab P11 (2nd gen) model starts at $299.
The second-generation Lenovo Tab P11 Pro is equipped with an 11.2-inch OLED screen that supports HDR10+ and 2.5K resolution (2560 x 1536 pixels). With a peak brightness of 600 nits and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, consuming content on this tablet won’t be a problem. A selling point of the tablet is the four-speaker system with JBL and Dolby Atmos, which provides spatial audio.
While the size and quality of the screen stand out at first glance, design isn't one of the Tab P11 Pro's strong points. The device has a fairly average visual design with very thick bezels. Additionally, the exterior materials will eventually accumulate a lot of fingerprints as you use the device. In terms of colors, the P11 Pro comes in Storm Gray and Oat shades.
Now, what's really useful is the magnet on the back that magnetically attaches (and charges) the Precision Pen 3, which provides a host of drawing and editing features. This is a great tablet for work and study. In addition, we can also use peripherals such as a detachable ThinkPad keyboard with an integrated trackpad.
Lenovo says the new Tab P11 Pro has 120% more power than the previous generation, which in itself seems like a worthy upgrade. On paper, the second generation of the device is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Kompanio 1300T processor and works with 4, 6 or 8 GB of RAM. As for internal storage, we only have two options: 128 GB and 256 GB.
Another relevant feature of this high-end mid-range tablet is Wi-Fi 6 certification, however, unlike the vanilla version, we don’t have a 3.5mm audio jack here.
On the system side, unfortunately, the Pro models ship from the factory running Android 12 instead of Android 12L, which is an adaptation of the OS for big screens. However, according to the manufacturer, this version is already in testing and should appear on its models soon.
The Lenovo Tab P11 Pro is a mid-to-high-end tablet at a very affordable price. The manufacturer offers more than twice the performance compared to the previous generation, and the screen features make the experience smoother. During the quick start-up session, many features of the Tab P11 Pro are eye-catching, but due to the short time, we cannot provide a more detailed review.
