M2 The MacBook Air won't hit store shelves until July, but rumors of a new MacBook Air with a 15-inch display have already begun.

March 2022
Display supply chain analyst Ross Young seems to be firm on the big MacBook Air. He suggested that the yet-to-be-released M2 MacBook Air might be slightly larger in size, and a 15-inch model could also be released. However, Apple only announced the 13-inch model during WWDC.
Two days later, Ming-Chi Kuo disagreed with Young, saying the 15-inch MacBook wouldn't arrive until 2023 at the earliest. He also said it might not be called MacBook Air, but a completely different model.
also mentioned that the larger MacBook will use the same 30W power adapter , although now the MacBook Air can also be configured with dual USB-C 35W adapters. He said the 15-inch MacBook Air will have a 15.2-inch display, while the upcoming 13-inch model will go from 13.3 inches to 13.6 inches.
M2 The MacBook Air does have a 13.6-inch display.
Young also says that the MacBook Air won't come with mini-LED or ProMotion. Both display technologies are reserved for Apple's "Pro" devices and remain unchanged.
June 2022
After WWDC in June, leaks of the 15-inch MacBook Air started again. First, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman says that a "wider" version of the MacBook Air will feature a 15-inch display and an M2 processor. It will be released sometime in 2023 or 2024.
Release in late 2023
The purple MacBook Air shown in our renders is speculation based on Apple's previous versions. Typically, when Apple does a mid-cycle product refresh, it tends to release new colorways.
The 15-inch MacBook Air isn't expected to launch until sometime in 2023 or 2024, so Apple may not have made pricing and configuration decisions just yet. Even more confusing is the existence of the M2-equipped 13-inch MacBook Pro, and how it stacks up against another midrange laptop.
