Dell today released two completely redesigned Latitude Rugged series laptops. The first is the Latitude 5430 Rugged, which Dell claims is the lightest and most powerful 14-inch semi-rugged laptop with 5G connectivity. The other is the Latitude 7330 Rugged Extreme, which is known as the industry's smallest 13-inch fully-rugged laptop that supports 5G.




Both devices are equipped with Intel latest 11th generation Tiger Lake processor, Wi-Fi 6E and 5G functions. Other unique features between the two models include an improved daylight readable and glove-touch capable screen, brightness up to 1400 nits , and up to 25 hours of battery life. In the system, the option of Windows11 is also provided, although Windows 10 is still provided.
Both models have passed the military-grade STD-810H test and can operate at temperatures ranging from -20 degrees to 145 degrees Fahrenheit (-28.8 to 62.7 degrees Celsius). The two laptops are also waterproof. The 5430 has an IP-53 protection level and the 7330 has an IP-65 protection level, which can withstand high-pressure water.
Dell did not share the pricing at the time of launch, but these laptops are not designed for everyday consumers and are usually far more than $1,800. Instead, these laptops are meant to be used in harsh environments,Such as industrial, construction and military uses. Some competitors of Dell's Latitude Rugged series include Panasonic Toughbook, or HP Probook series.
