Geekbench benchmark database has just exposed Samsung’s new Galaxy Book laptop, which is characterized by a unique 12-core Intel Core i7-1270P mobile processor. In addition, considering that it is the same as the previously leaked device model (MP930QED), it is not ruled out that Samsung will provide more CPU options in the future.
In terms of specifications, this Alder Lake-P processor has 12 cores / 16 threads, which means that it uses a combination of 4 high-performance Golden Cove (P core) + 8 energy-saving Gracemont (E core).
Geekbench benchmark database also reveals that i7-1270P has an 18MB L3 cache and a base frequency of 2.5 GHz, but a software bug has identified the maximum turbo frequency as only 9 MHz.
However, we are more interested in the naming method of the Intel 12th generation mobile processor. The current 11th generation Tiger Lake CPU's H-45 / H-35 / U-28 naming will be replaced by Alder Lake-P and other naming methods in the 12th generation.
