just in time for the holiday shopping season, Motorola has squeezed another affordable mobile phone in its 2021 Moto G product series-Moto G Pure. The price of Moto G Pure is US$159.99, which is the lowest-priced member of Motorola’s product line. The Moto G Play that has been released is only about US$10 more expensive than it, which is US$169 (before discount). On the other hand, the prices of Moto G Power and G Stylus are much higher, at US$199 and US$299, respectively.
The biggest difference between Moto G Pure and G Play is its processor. G Pure uses MediaTek Helio G25, while G Play uses 2020 Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 chip. According to the processor comparison data of Nanoreview.net, the Snapdragon 460 is the faster and more energy-efficient eight-core processor of the two. But our review of the Moto G Play using Qualcomm technology has pointed out the lack of power of the phone, so the performance of the MediaTek chip on the Moto G Pure can still only maintain low expectations.
Like its more expensive siblings, Moto G Pure also has 3GB of RAM to match its processor, 32GB of internal storage space can be expanded via a microSD card, and a 6.5-inch 720p display with a low resolution for 2021. Other unique features of G Pure are: it is waterproof to sporadic light rain (IP52), and has a 4000mAh battery. Motorola claims that it can last for two days, depending on the usage.
The camera system of G Pure is similar to that of G Play, but its 13-megapixel main camera has a slightly smaller f/2.2 aperture. There is also a 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 5-megapixel front camera. Since Motorola is known for its interesting photo software and intelligent artificial intelligence, you can try out photography features such as spot color, automatic smile capture, and smart composition on this phone.
Moto G Pure is compatible with all 4G LTE frequency bands in North America-from Verizon to Telus, but it does not support any 5G networks. If you want to buy this Moto G Pure as soon as possible, you need to pre-order the unlocked version on October 14th for $159.99. It will be sold on Best Buy , Walmart , B&H Photos, Amazon and Motorola's website.
If you are looking for carrier discounts, Verizon will start from October 14th. When you sign up for a 24-30 month payment plan, the carrier will provide this phone'free'. T-Mobile 's Metro will also provide similar discounts in the near future, but there is no sharing timetable.
