As the saying goes, it is most difficult for people to live a long life in society? Getting to know people is the hardest! People's words and expressions can be disguised. Some people don't understand each other after being together for more than ten years, let alone meeting them for the first time.
Therefore, there are generally two methods used by the ancients to identify people:
The first is analogy: the ancients likened humans to birds and beasts, and judged a person's personality, thoughts, abilities, etc. through some common characteristics.
Example: Liu Bei in The Romance of the Three Kingdoms With his ears hanging down from his shoulders and his hands above his knees, he has the appearance of an emperor.
Human hands are like the claws of birds and animals. The longer the claws are, the more powerful they are and the better they can catch prey. Liu Bei's hands crossed over his knees shows that he is very capable. Ears are called the inner aspect in facial appearance. The bigger the ears, the more blessed you are. That's why he has the appearance of an emperor.
Although the information obtained through analogy is not complete, it still makes sense, because there is essentially no difference between humans and animals.
Another example is the well-known Sima Yi - the eagle looks at the wolf and the wolf looks at it. It is a typical way of looking at the character through analogies. He is able to turn his head and look back without turning around. Only a wolf can do this.
And if a person has a pair of sheep eyes, it means that the person has a despicable temperament and is cold and does not recognize his relatives. (There are many people with sheep eyes in life)
The second way to identify people is to master the essence of the five senses, six houses, twelve palaces, and the passage of time over a hundred years.
With a population of 1.3 billion in China, it is impossible to identify a person. Memorize 1.3 billion facial features. Therefore, by mastering the essence of their facial features, you can recognize people at a glance.
Example: The eyes can read the mind. Everyone's eyes are different, and different eyes can reflect a person's different thoughts and thoughts.
If a person has bright eyes, it means that the person is thoughtful and independent, and knows what he wants.
A confused look in a person's eyes means that the person is very confused, has little thought, and lacks judgment on things.
If a person's eyes flicker, it means he is committing adultery or stealing.
If a person always looks at others inappropriately, it means that his heart is not right.
The way to know people lies in one mind, not one path. Especially now, when cooperating with others to do business, discussing marriage, working with colleagues and getting along with friends, all are inseparable from having a pair of discerning eyes.
