In fact, to put it bluntly, the reason why this car has such a long battery life is closely related to its battery. We have tried to lie down and look at the bottom of the car. From the front axle to the rear axle , there is an extra-large battery pack that is comparable to a large mattress. This battery pack can provide energy of more than 100 kWh. This is the guarantee of the battery life of this car.

Although there is moisture in the CLTC battery life test method, it is not as rigorous as the WLTC standard, and it is even less accurate than the US EPA standard. However, according to the industry-recognized conversion method, the CLTC's range of 631 kilometers is converted into a basically zero moisture EPA range of about 520 kilometers. In other words, as long as it is not extreme weather, driving, this car can reach a real range of 500+ kilometers.

The fact is true. In order to show the battery life of this car, Lantu specially arranged large sections of highways on the test drive route. As we all know, for pure electric vehicles, the power consumption of high-speed vehicles is very large, especially for long-distance highways, which has a greater impact on power consumption. So generally speaking, most car companies will not arrange such long continuous high-speed test drives for pure electric cars (on the contrary, test drives of plug-in hybrid cars like this).

We didn't go to "show mercy" just because this is a pure electric car. The air conditioner should be turned on as big as possible, and the speaker should be played. There are 4 of me in the car. We also conduct "death behaviors" such as sudden acceleration, sudden braking, and noise measurement of the accelerator from time to time (all of the above actions are not performed on the highway). In other words, we don’t have any special driving convenience to the tram just because it is.

But from around 8 am, the car showed 99% of the power in the car to park back to the hotel at 6 pm, and there was still 47% left in the car's power display meter. We ran more than 300 kilometers this day, and we tested all kinds of power and "scattered cars" throughout the journey. If you drive this car in a normal way, its actual range can run around 520-550 kilometers. This is basically no different from the battery life data we converted above. In other words, the 631-kilometer range of Lantu Free is generally not a big problem for charging one week.

0 km acceleration for 4 seconds 4, but the feeling is different

In fact, in terms of driving experience, Lantu Free's ultra-long battery life version is basically no different from its extended range version, DNA version and the early 505 km pure electric version.Because the biggest change in the ultra-long battery life version is that compared with the 505-kilometer pure electric version, it has replaced it with a larger battery pack and a stronger motor. There is no difference in other aspects such as frame and air suspension adjustment.

So the overall feeling of driving is basically the same as other versions of Free: the air hang filters out almost all information on the road surface, and your feeling is as if the car is not walking on the road surface, but seems to be hanging in the air, flying against the ground. This feels very much like the magic carpet hanging on the Mercedes-Benz S600 from the W220 period. Of course, like other versions of Free, the steering wheel of the ultra-long battery life pure electric version basically has no road feeling (because they are all isolated from the air suspension). No matter how high the cornering speed is, you can't feel rolling. To put it bluntly, it really looks like the advertising slogan: fly on the ground.

However, compared with other versions, one of the highlights of the official promotion of the ultra-long battery life version is its acceleration: 000 4.4 seconds. This figure is definitely considered to be the top domestic acceleration level in a medium- and large SUV weighing 2.8 tons (in fact, the body size is close to that of a large SUV). When it comes to foreign countries, only the performance SUV like the Cayenne turbo S can compete with it.

You may think that the entire acceleration process must be very violent, right? Just like the Cayenne turbo S? No, the more appropriate statement is that we don’t realize that it accelerates so quickly. As a pure electric car, it has the strongest battery life in its class, has excellent air suspension, has strong enough acceleration and fast enough car machine. Its audience actually does not overlap with Dreamers. The prices of its real competitors are generally much higher than that of it, many of which are even million-level models. So from its actual market and population positioning, the Lantu Free ultra-long battery life pure electric version is also a car with no rivals.
