According to data released by the Passenger Car Association, there are currently more than 150 compact SUV models on sale. So in the compact SUV market, which models are in the top 100 in terms of fuel consumption? In this issue, I will share with you the latest fuel consumption list of compact SUVs. Even the 8-liter fuel consumption does not make it into the top 20. Veranda and RAV4 are ranked in the top 10. Volkswagen Tuyue, Changan CS55 PLUS and X-Trail are all lower than 8L. Honda CR-V, Nissan Qashqai, Changan CS75 and Jetta VS5 and other models also performed well. The latest fuel consumption ranking of compact SUVs: 1-100, 8 fuel consumption cannot make it into the top 20, RAV4 ranks 9th!

First, let’s take a look at the latest fuel consumption rankings of compact SUVs ranked 1-20. Toyota cars performed relatively well, with all four flagship SUVs in the top 10. The relatively “young” Corolla and Landa ranked 4th and 5th respectively, with fuel consumption per 100 kilometers of only a little more than 7.5L, while the Wilanda and RAV4 also had a fuel consumption of a little more than 7.7L. Volkswagen's Tuyue and Tange also performed well, with Tuyue ranking 11th and Tange ranking 13th, and their fuel consumption per 100 kilometers did not exceed 7.9L. There are also many domestic SUV models in the top 20, such as Wuling Xingchen and Changan CS55 PLUS. After Changan CS55 PLUS is equipped with the Blue Whale 1.5T engine, its fuel consumption performance has been significantly improved.

Let’s take a look at the latest fuel consumption rankings of compact SUVs ranked 21-50. Mainstream Japanese SUV: Honda Models such as CR-V, Mazda CX-4, Honda Bright, Nissan Qashqai and Nissan X-Trail are also in the top 30 of the list. However, the fuel consumption performance of the Nissan X-Trail, which is equipped with a 1.5T three-cylinder engine , is not very satisfactory. The domestic SUVs Chery Tiggo 7, Changan CS75, Trumpchi GS4, Changan CS75 PLUS, Lynk & Co 02 and Roewe RX5 are also in the top 50 in terms of fuel consumption performance. The average fuel consumption of Changan CS75 PLUS is around 8.42L, which is quite satisfactory overall.

Finally, compact SUVs are ranked 51-100 in the latest fuel consumption list. Their average fuel consumption exceeds 8.5L, and most of the models are automatic transmission or manual and models. Among them, Chery Tiggo 7 PLUS is equipped with Chery 1.6T engine, with a fuel consumption of only 8.62L per 100 kilometers. The fuel consumption of Auchan X5, Geely Boyue , Hyundai ix35, Changan CS55 PLUS and Changan CS75 are also less than 9L. The fuel consumption of Mercedes-Benz GLB, Geely Xingyue L and Audi Q3 equipped with 2.0T engines does not exceed 9.5L per 100 kilometers. However, the fuel consumption per 100 kilometers of Mitsubishi Outlander , Lincoln Adventurer and Audi Q3 (2.0T high-power) models still exceeds 10L.
