On December 28, BYD 2023 Dolphin was officially launched, with a price range of 116,800-136,800 yuan. The new car adopts a new style of rims, two new colors of cheese yellow and taro purple are added to the free version and fashion version, and a new color of Delan black/Atlantis gray is added to the knight version. In terms of appearance, as a facelift model, it still continues the "marine aesthetics" design, mainly optimizing the details, using geometric color-blocking and dynamic wheels, and the visual effect is more eye-catching. In terms of color matching, the free version and the fashion version are equipped with four pure car colors: Puff Pink, Beibei Grey, Cheese Yellow, and Taro Purple, of which Cheese Yellow and Taro Purple are new colors; the two-color Cavalier Edition is available in three colors: Beibei Gray/Puff Pink, Beibei Gray/Surf Blue, and Delan Black/Atlantis Gray, of which Delan Black/Atlantis Gray is a new color.
In terms of interior, the appearance and interior of the new Dolphin Pupu Pink adopt the same color scheme, and the other car colors use milk tea brown interior color; the interior colors of Knight Edition Pink Dolphin and Blue Dolphin remain unchanged, and Delan Black/Atlantis Gray adopts Night Black interior color scheme.
In terms of configuration, all new cars are equipped with high-definition panoramic images and rear windshield wipers as standard. The tire pressure monitoring function has been upgraded from the previous tire pressure alarm to real-time tire pressure display. The Cavalier version adds a safety belt warning for the entire vehicle. In addition, all new cars come standard with 6-way electric seat adjustment for the main driver. The fashion version and the Cavalier version add rear seats with a 4:6 ratio, rear center armrest, front parking radar, 4-way electric seat adjustment for the front passenger, front seat heating function, four-door one-button lift and anti-pinch windows, and electric folding exterior mirrors.
In terms of power, the new car will continue the power system of the current model. The current free version and fashion version are equipped with the permanent magnet synchronous motor with a maximum power of 70kW (95 horsepower) and 180Nm. The knight version is equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous motor with a maximum power of 130kW (177 horsepower) and 290Nm. Both are equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery pack with a capacity of 44.9kWh. The NEDC cruising range is 405km and 401km. It is worth noting that the 2023 Dolphin also adds a comfort mode to the original three driving modes of energy saving/snow/sport, which can achieve the best balance of economy, quietness and power performance.
