The next generation Porsche Macan SUV model has been confirmed to be launched. According to Antoon Janssen, the power system manager of Porsche who is responsible for Macan vehicle series, the Macan EV is built using the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) platform jointly developed with Audi, and is expected to become the most sporty product in its class. To achieve this goal, Porsche installed two electric motors for the Macan EV, one for the front and rear axle , which means that the Macan EV will use a four-wheel transmission setting. However, the PPE platform can also support rear-wheel drive settings, so the Macan EV is likely to offer two options: single-motor rear-wheel drive version and dual-motor four-wheel drive version.
The dual-motor four-wheel drive version has the maximum horsepower or may reach 608 horsepower, and the torque is as high as 1000N·m. The reproduction of the car in the absence of a car is still uncertain, so it is impossible to accurately estimate the acceleration strength for the time being. It can be confirmed that the four-wheel drive version will use the first 48% and the last 52% power output ratio, and the battery capacity can reach 100kWh.
