Data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology shows that from January to July this year, my country's production and sales of new energy vehicles reached 3.279 million and 3.194 million respectively, and the cumulative number of promotions rose from 20,000 at the end of 2012 to 12.27 million, ranking first in the world for seven consecutive years.

New energy vehicle brands continue to emerge
In 2015, my country's new energy vehicle production was 340,000 vehicles and sales were 331,000 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 3.3 times and 3.4 times respectively. It was this year that my country's sales of new energy vehicles surpassed the United States and reached the world's number one position, and has remained the leading position since then.
As the number of ownership continues to increase, favorable policies for new energy vehicles have also expanded from simple subsidies to various forms. In 2017, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and five other departments formulated and issued the " Passenger Car Enterprises Parallel Fuel Consumption and New Energy Vehicle Points Management Measures ", which set up two points "fuel consumption" and "new energy" to ensure that the fuel consumption of passenger cars has decreased year by year and the rapid growth of new energy vehicle production and sales under the adverse effects of subsidies and the impact of the epidemic.
In October 2020, the State Council issued the "New Energy Vehicle Industry Development Plan (2021~2035)" and proposed that by 2025, the sales volume of new energy vehicles will reach about 20% of the total sales of new cars. It is strived to become the mainstream of new cars by 2035 and the public sector will be fully electrified.
According to statistics from the Ministry of Public Security, as of the end of June this year, the national new energy vehicle ownership reached 10.01 million, exceeding the 10 million mark, accounting for 3.23% of the total number of cars. Among them, the number of pure electric vehicles is 8.104 million, accounting for 80.93% of the total number of new energy vehicles.
In the wave of industrial transformation, more "new faces" have also emerged in the industry. In 2014, NIO and Xiaopeng Motors were successively established. In 2015, as the first batch of Chinese car owners of Tesla , Li Xiang also left Autohome and founded Ideal Auto . Nowadays, the three new car-making companies have successfully landed on the US, , Hong Kong stocks, and their annual sales have approached the 100,000 vehicles mark, which is called "Wei Xiaoli" by the industry. In just a few years, new energy vehicle brands such as Gaohe, Nezha, WM Motor, and Leapmotor, which smelled business opportunities, sprung up like mushrooms after a rain.
At the same time, traditional car companies have also embarked on the road of transformation, and new energy brands such as Aian , Jihu, Zekr , Lantu, Zhiji, etc., which are backed by traditional car companies, have been born one after another. In recent years, as the cake of the new energy vehicle market becomes bigger and bigger, Internet companies such as Baidu , Xiaomi , and home appliance giants such as Haier , Gree , etc. have also participated in cross-border car manufacturing, forming a lively scene of blossoming in multiple points.

When we first chose the new energy vehicle track, my country creatively proposed the overall research and release of the "three vertical and three horizontal" plan. Among them, the "three horizontal" are the three major technical systems of fuel cell and power battery technology, electric drive system technology, and common basic technology. The "three verticals" are the fuel cell vehicle , hybrid automobile, and pure electric vehicle power system technology platform.
This strategy promotes the development of my country's entire new energy vehicle industry chain into the fast lane. Data shows that compared with 2012, the energy density of new energy vehicle power batteries in my country has increased by 1.3 times. Correspondingly, the range of mainstream new energy vehicles in my country has increased significantly from 150 kilometers to more than 500 kilometers.
It is worth mentioning that my country has become the world's largest lithium battery consumer market for five consecutive years. As of the end of 2021, my country's power battery production capacity accounted for about 70% of the world's largest lithium battery manufacturers, and Chinese companies accounted for 6 seats.

The advancement of battery technology has promoted the expansion of commercial application scenarios for hydrogen fuel vehicles to a certain extent.
Other key technical fields, the speed and power density of new energy vehicle motors are constantly improving, and new generation products with flat wire, oil-cooling, high-voltage and other characteristics are constantly on the market, and mass production and loading are gradually realized. In terms of motor control , my country's electronic control product accuracy, dynamic response rate, switching loss and other aspects have reached the international advanced level, the technology is constantly mature, and the industrial chain continues to be improved. At the same time, lidar , domestic chips, and in-vehicle basic computing platforms have realized loading applications, and the level of technological innovation has been continuously improved.

Judging from the stock and incremental markets of new energy vehicles and charging facilities, my country will be a single market with a super-large scale in the world." According to data released by the Charging Basics Alliance, as of August 2022, the cumulative number of charging infrastructure in my country was 4.315 million, the total number of battery swap stations reached 1,685, and the incremental ratio of charging piles to new energy vehicles was 1:2.3. The construction of charging infrastructure can basically meet the rapid development of new energy vehicles. Compared with the 8,107 charging piles and 174 charging stations at the end of 2012, the number of charging and swapping stations has increased by dozens of times in the past ten years.
The rapid development of the new energy vehicle industry has also driven the explosion of domestic charging and swapping companies. Data shows that more than 88,000 charging pile-related companies have been established in my country in the past five years, and more than 56,000 newly established charging pile companies in the past year.
