Lotus GM Matt Windle has revealed that the final design of the Type 133 has been released to Lotus dealers around the world.
Lotus Type 133 pure electric coupe benchmarks against Porsche Taycan. Type 133 will share the EPA platform with Eletre. It adopts a four-door coupe design and has a similar design concept to ELETRE. It is equipped with air suspension and rear-wheel active turn signal technology. .
Lotus senior vice president of design Peter Horbury said the final design of the Type 133 will emphasize aerodynamics.
In terms of power, the new car will adopt a dual-motor four-wheel drive design. The entry-level model is expected to have about 600 horsepower, and the 0-100km/h acceleration time may be faster than 2.95 seconds. Products with more extreme performance may be launched in the future.
It is understood that Lotus announced last year that it will launch 4 new electric vehicles in the next five years, namely: a pure electric smart SUV (Type 132) in 2022; a pure electric smart four-door coupe (Type 133) in 2023; A new pure electric smart species (Type134) will be launched in 2025; a pure electric trot (Type135) will be launched in 2026.
It is worth mentioning that the Type 133 will be another sedan model launched by Lotus since the launch of the Carlton in the 1990s.
