Zen provides a doctrine about how individuals realize the ultimate value of life. At the same time, Zen itself is an organized religious community, reflecting the unique management idea in management measures, and its content contains extremely rich management wisdom.

The management wisdom of Zen has the following characteristics: First, focus on mentality management ; second, emphasize direct points to the people's hearts; third, pay attention to practice.

Mindfulness of understanding the mind and seeing the nature of the mind

Modern management activities are usually accustomed to relying on external factors such as institutional norms, knowledge and technology, methods and methods. The management wisdom of Zen emphasizes the mindset of organizational members, and promotes the realization of organizational goals by changing members' mental model and firming up with a common vision.

The subject consciousness of the mind has nature

The founder of Chinese Zen Huineng at the beginning of his representative work " Platform Sutra " put forward the proposition of "the non-duality of concentration and wisdom". This proposition emphasizes "concentration and wisdom, etc.", and "concentration" and "wisdom" are the relationship between the same body and function. When you calm your heart, you have already understood the truth; if you want to see through the essence of the world, just experience your quiet and wonderful heart. "I" and "Buddha" are integrated. For those who practice Buddhism, it is important to recognize this fact, rather than seeking Buddha without "I".

The Zen Buddhist theory of becoming a Buddha is to realize the purity of one's own mind. If one focuses on others, one will definitely not achieve the right result. Ordinary fools do not know that they have the Pure Land Buddha nature in their bodies, so they seek this and that; enlightened people know that they have their own nature in their hearts and must not seek rebirth in the Buddha's kingdom outside their hearts.

The idea of "the heart has its nature" is of great enlightenment for establishing human subjectivity, so as to exert subjective initiative, courage to assume responsibilities, and dare to innovate in real life and management activities.

Invent the way to success of the original mind

Since the one's own mind is the key to enlightenment and becoming a Buddha, then the outward pursuit of the behavior subject must be based on its inner mind. The key point of "Zen" is not its form. "Buddha" is everywhere, and you will never become a Buddha when you work hard in a place without Buddha nature. The place closest to us with Buddha nature is our own mind and nature, so you must "understand your mind and see your nature."

This idea of Zen contains profound management wisdom. The goals of some contemporary organizations are often unrealistic, and the real needs are not expressed, and what is expressed is not real needs. This is actually one of the manifestations of the loss of management activities. Another manifestation of disoriented is that some organizations ignore their own resources, characteristics, and advantages, blindly learn from other people's experiences, and blindly believe in popular theoretical propositions.

Only, an organization, can correctly grasp the existence and development goals and outline the common vision of organization members accepting and willingly striving for it, can it form a continuous stream of internal motivation and enable the organization to continue to develop forward.

Liang Boqiang, chairman of Saint-Yarun, had a incisive confession - I am full of confidence in "Saint-Yarun", and I like it more and more, and I set it as my laboratory for practicing my outlook on life and values. In the eyes of many people, our products are not high, but I believe that in , a developing and developing and producing such daily necessities that "make money and have core technologies" have the advantages of low cost and large market. Technology products with high technical content are indispensable, and daily necessities with large quantities and wide ranges are also indispensable. Each has its own market and its own consumption targets. Liang Boqiang chose products that suit him based on his actual situation. This is the advantage of Saint-Yaron.

The management effect generated by the mind

Zen management wisdom takes the "heart" of human consciousness activity as a key element of the organization, believing that only by first awakening the human mind can we inject inexhaustible motivation into the management goals.

Modern management has gone through a process of gradually emphasizing the role of human mind and nature, paying attention to using human spiritual power and focusing on improving human quality. This trend shows that modern management theory pays more and more attention to the spiritual awareness of organization members, and regards people with spiritual dominance as the foundation for the organization to achieve achievements and maintain long-term vitality, which coincides with the "environment is born from the heart" advocated by Zen management wisdom.

directly points to the communication art of the people's hearts

Zen Buddhism opposes teaching Buddhism through the methods and channels of classic interpretation and literacy analysis, but advocates direct appeal to people's intuitive perceptions, pointing directly to people's hearts, presenting a unique management and communication art.

The spiritual communication of non-establishing words

The communication principle that Zen Buddhism directly points to the human heart was established in the creation theory of "The Buddha picked up a flower, and Kashyapa smiled". In the view of Zen Buddhism, Buddhism is not in the scriptures, and it is impossible to use the scriptures to explore the outside, but can only explore inward, and obtain it through the understanding between master and disciple. Kashayapa The process of obtaining Buddhism has no scriptures or language, only a knowing smile. Therefore, Buddhism can only be directly explored, experienced and understood by practitioners’ inner world.

can be seen that the Buddhist teaching method established by Zen Buddhism, " is used to spread outside the teachings, does not establish words, points directly to the hearts of the people, and realizes the nature and becomes a Buddha." It emphasizes that people have a spiritual understanding, a heart-to-heart connection, understanding, and understanding. This kind of spiritual communication method that does not rely on text and language often has a magical effect in people's daily life and management activities.

People who are good at communicating often use some very simple actions to achieve the purpose of communicating with others. For example, patting their subordinates on the shoulders means great motivation for their subordinates. This simple method is often much more effective than spending a lot of money to buy a lot of gifts. Communication should pay attention to skills. In our China, this set of skills is called "to understand each other's feelings", rather than reasoning. To be clear is not to be clear directly, but to be clear first and then to be clear.

Touching communication form

"Sign directly to the heart" The wonderful thing about the communication method is to avoid disturbing and distorting information transmission by communication means in order to enhance the effect of communication. In other words, any means of communication must be conducive to the enlightenment of the object's mind and enable the object of communication to obtain key information.

These causes and conditions for Zen masters to realize the truth actually contain five forms of communication that Zen Buddhism "points directly to the human heart":

1 is verbal enlightenment communication. For those with high understanding, just use simple and clear language to directly enlighten them, so as to achieve the purpose of communication.

The second is indirect communication. It includes the use of targeted mottos and aphorisms, debates containing mystery, "Big Vernacular" with profound meanings and subtle analogies with exquisite metaphors, and indirect reminders.

The third is to break prejudicial communication. Eliminating knowledge and views is a direct break, while kicking and interception are mainly to prevent the communication object from launching the habitual thinking, so it is an indirect break.

4 is non-face-to-face communication. The sender of the information first sends a vague signal, and then lets the communication object understand it in the process of daily life. Because once a person wants to understand something but cannot understand it, he must remember it, and inadvertently he will suddenly realize his enlightenment due to opportunities such as hearing sounds, seeing things, working, and listening.

5 is transfer communication. The communication initiative withdraws from the communication activities and replaces them with public cases, and finally gains insights.

It must be emphasized that in the process of using Zen's communication method, the "directly pointing to the human heart" always adheres to the principle of "not saying it out loud", that is, the completion of the communication task ultimately depends on the communication object to understand it themselves. In other words, the communication between "heart" and "heart" cannot be done without means and bridges, but relying entirely on external media cannot achieve the goal. The key is whether it can awaken the emotional consciousness that is inherent in the mind of the communication object. As long as the means of communication can touch the mind of the object, the purpose of communication has been achieved.

Heart-to-heart organizational utility

"points directly to the heart" communication method has achieved the "heart-to-heart" management effect. This organizational form based on the spiritual communication of its members is also a useful inspiration for modern management organizational communication.

From the perspective of modern management, this communication method that "points directly to the hearts of the people" is conducive to more effective consensus among organizational members, especially among superiors and subordinates, to enhance emotions, deepen understanding, and establish harmonious interpersonal relationships, thereby maintaining the normal operation of the organization and promoting the smooth development of the organization's cause. In Zen's thoughts, people are the main body of the mind and nature. If management is mainly about human work, then you must take care of people with your heart. The manager and the managed should strive to build a bridge of telepathy, and use the spiritual sensing to unify understanding, coordinate actions, reduce conflicts, and improve business conditions.

Japan Honda is a successful example of good at using internal communication to cultivate team spirit. In order to maximize internal communication, the company has adopted three methods:

First, the company uses a special organizational structure to create communication opportunities. In Honda, there are no private offices, everyone works in an office without intervals, with desks next to each other and no hierarchical differences, and this working environment is particularly easy to inspire team spirit.

Secondly, the company initiates continuous and in-depth internal communication through the implementation of group decisions. Each department has assigned people to participate in the decision-making process, and if someone proposes a good idea or plan, a consensus will be gradually reached by all participants.

Again, the company promotes or maintains internal communication through job rotation. Honda often lets team members switch jobs to each other to avoid boredom caused by doing a certain job for a long time.

Self-cultivation of daily behaviors

Since enlightenment and nirvana cannot be obtained in a state of meditation, becoming a Buddha cannot rule out daily secular life, and secular life is also a conventional path to the Buddha realm. Zen Buddhism emphasizes that sentient beings should treat their daily lives correctly, hold a normal mind, practice it in person, and realize the ultimate ideal of life in daily behavior.

Precautions for practicing a normal mind

Zen Buddhism advocates that monks must maintain a normal mind in the process of practicing. Only by having a normal mind and practicing it yourself will you not violate the Buddha nature. A normal mind is an important behavioral principle in Zen. From another perspective, the opposite requirement of the concentration of "normal mind" is to leave enough space for the mind and enhance the tolerance of the mind.

1957, Li Ka-shing , which gritted his teeth and walked out of the desperate situation, began to produce both cheap and realistic plastic flowers. At that time, there was neither a beautiful factory nor a broad market was opened up.

One day, a newspaper published the dilapidated "Yangtze River Plastic Factory" and the factory director who seemed to have done nothing. Li Ka-shing naturally knew that this negative propaganda would make him "at a desperate situation" again. He immediately came up with a plan and decided to make full use of this free publicity. So Li Ka-shing took the newspaper and carried his own products to visit hundreds of agents in Hong Kong.

Li Ka-shing said to them frankly: "Look, the factory building of the 'Changjiang Plastic Factory' in the entrepreneurial stage is broken enough, and I, as the factory manager, is also haggard and disheveled. But please take a look at our plastic flowers, and there are several varieties that we designed ourselves and do not even have in the European and American markets. I believe that quality can prove everything. You are welcome to visit and order in our factory.
