　　Zen Master Tanran further asked, "What is the secret function (what is the subtle and incredible function of your own nature)?"

　　Master Hui'an faced Zen Master Tanran, opened his eyes, closed his eyes, and closed his eyes.

　　Zen Master Tanran suddenly realized.

　　People who study Taoism are often prone to seeking Dharma outside their hearts and refuse to reflect on it now. In fact, our nature has never left us for a moment, and it is always everywhere in our thoughts, every move, and the brows and eyes. As long as we reflect on ourselves, we can experience the incredible "secret use" of our own nature. The reason why it is called secret use is because it is like a person drinking water, knowing the cold and warmth of the people, and cannot be told to others, and at the same time, others cannot be replaced.

　After Master Tanran realized the truth, he stayed with Master Hui'an, while Master Huairang, , followed Master Hui'an's advice, went to Caoxi to attend the ceremony of Master Hui'an's worship Sixth Patriarch . Later, under the guidance of the Sixth Patriarch, Zen Master Huairang became enlightened soon, and from then on, he developed a large branch of Zen, called the Nanyue system, parallel to the Qingyuan system.
