Yesterday, a friend of mine told me a very depressing story. His daughter asked him for a Sony ZV-1 to learn photography. He readily agreed, but considering the camera's image quality, he ended up buying a more expensive Sony A6400. I thought the little cotton-padded jacket was very happy, but turned out not to appreciate it and had to ask for a change. This made him very depressed and said that he was deceived by advertisements.

I did not comfort him about this matter, but instead provoked him, saying that this time I could not guess the little cotton-padded jacket's thoughts. What was disappointing was not the camera, but my overestimation of my own judgment. In fact, today's young people have their own opinions. They like to make their own decisions and don't like interference from others. For the things you like, you no longer care about the price, let alone the performance. This is a good thing. But my friend thinks that since it costs money, it is better to buy a camera with powerful camera functions, such as a card camera like
Sony ZV-1, rather than a mobile phone. For a senior person who understands photography, it is indeed difficult to understand.

It is a long process from learning photography to falling in love with photography. What is most important in this process? I think it's interest. When you really like photography and have a more in-depth study of it, you will definitely change your camera. For some people, there is a clear purpose from the beginning, like what do I want to do with the camera? What are you going to shoot? This type of person usually has some research on equipment. There is another type of person who really treats the camera as a toy and wants to use a camera to record life. I don’t have a strong interest in photography, but I may fall in love with photography while playing. So there is no research on the equipment. In their eyes, the camera’s portability and appearance may be more important. This is where manufacturers are smart and understand the needs of users best.
From another perspective, it doesn’t actually matter which camera you choose to learn to take pictures. The important thing is that you take the camera and take pictures. There are many people around me who have spent a lot of money on high-end equipment, but they don’t actually spend much time taking pictures. Especially for those who are heavily equipped with equipment, a set of equipment can weigh more than ten or twenty pounds. Going out to take a photo is a test of physical strength. Without good weather, it is really difficult to inspire your desire to go out and take photos.
The idea of shooting blockbusters when I go out makes my shooting activities less and less. Relatively speaking, this is a waste of equipment.

Part of a photographer’s equipment
Don’t let equipment become a burden to you, feel happy in photography. This is the best state to learn photography. Equipment is just our tool, nothing more. If you think a lightweight camera is easy to use, then choose a lightweight one. If you prefer higher image quality, challenge some shooting subjects. I believe the weight of the equipment will not be a burden to you.
For equipment, the highest level is that it can integrate with you and be easy to use. Just like the most familiar friend, you know what effect it can achieve and maximize it. Rather than a strange relationship. If it feels unfamiliar or even awkward every time you use it. No matter how good the equipment is, it is useless to you.

How to use the equipment easily? The only way is to take it out often and take pictures, from quantity to quality. Know your camera's functions inside and out. If you really get to this point, you may feel that the equipment is really not that important. If you want to know a camera very well, you have to press the shutter at least 100,000 times. When you reach this number, in fact, this camera can basically meet your shooting needs, and you will get used to its method. Some shortcomings you can also avoid through your technology. Besides, today’s cameras are not too weak. Basically it can meet our shooting needs. I just wear this camera out, and there are a lot of features that we may never use.

In the process of learning photography, many people have too many requirements for equipment, but there are not many opportunities to actually use it. This is the biggest problem in learning photography. The shutter life of an entry-level camera is more than 100,000 times. How many people break the shutter button on a camera? There are many cases around me that have been broken due to long-term use. There are really not many cases of broken shutters. One of my cameras still works after pressing the shutter nearly 800,000 times. I have witnessed the iterative changes of many cameras. As far as taking pictures is concerned, the essence has not changed. So I say, as far as photography is concerned, it doesn’t matter which camera you choose. What matters is, how much time do you have to take pictures?
