Jingyuan County decided to relocate Ruoli Township as a whole in accordance with the overall poverty alleviation goal. In 2017, three new immigration sites were planned to be developed and built next to Santai Jiuyuan, Mitan Nianwanping and Santanba Wu Highways in the county. They were basically completed in August 2019, and more than 2,600 households and more than 8,600 people in Ruoli Township moved to the immigration new village.
At the end of 2019, most villages had been moved. After I learned this news, I wanted to shoot the old villages left behind after the relocation one by one, leave an archive material for the local area, leave a memory for those who have lived here, and let their descendants know their former hometown. At the same time, I also photographed the new home after the relocation, showing the beautiful scene of immigrating to the new village. Starting from February 11, 2019, I went up the plateau 10 times. After experiencing the cold winter and heat, I basically finished shooting nearly a hundred villages. Most of these photos were taken with the drone .
2020 On March 15 and 22, I went to Ruoliyuan to shoot again. Most of the villages are no longer what they were last year. Some of the houses in the village were razed to the ground, and the old village is incomplete. I am glad that before this, I left a complete video material for each village, leaving the face of my hometown for the people who once lived in these villages.
