Two years have passed, and from time to time I think of the days I went on a day with Mr. Gu Shui, and his kind smile, so I picked up my pen to record some thoughts.
1, Poxiang Village met
In early 2016, I bought a new camera and took records in Yanzhao and other shantytown renovation areas. One day, a photographer (monster) told me that someone organized a photo shoot in Poxiang Village on weekends and asked me if I could go? I said that after I went there, I got the phone number from Teacher Gushui.
On March 5, 2016, I arrived at the intersection of Poxiang Road early. Teacher Gushui also arrived in advance. After the team members arrived one after another, Teacher Gushui briefly introduced the itinerary to everyone at the intersection, and then walked towards Poxiang Village. Most of the members of this event came from the QQ group "Haikou Urban Village Renovation Photography", and most of them no longer had another event. Looking back now, it was rare to have an encounter with Teacher Gu Shui. In Poxiang Village, Teacher Gushui led everyone to see the ancient houses, ancient wells, ancient temples... and introduced the history of "two waters and three villages" to everyone, and visited until noon. After noon, I left early, and in the afternoon, everyone visited Pobo Village .
That afternoon, Teacher Gu Shui and I added WeChat friends to each other; that night, he pulled me into the WeChat group of the Hainan team of the Day reading team, and he also encouraged me to post in the Day reading Hainan section of the Tianya Forum, and thus began my day reading journey.
2. Fucheng Memory
In April 2016, Teacher Gushui asked me to go to the day Jinhua Village , and there were still many friends who were on the day till that time. Jinhua Village is a place I often pass by when I was in middle school, but I didn’t know there were many places to visit. Under the guidance of Teacher Gushui, I learned about "Shigou Gong". For the first time, I walked into Qiu Jun's former residence, walked along the ancient road of Jinhua Village, visited the Wu House built in the Qing Dynasty, and then followed the ancient road of Zhongjie Road, to Hainan Middle School, and for the first time in the sea, I carefully watched Fengqi Hall and the Confucius statue in front.
Teacher Gushui’s hometown is Gulou Street, and he often tells people that he is from Gulou . He also has a particularly profound and unique understanding of Fucheng, and is very clear about the 13th Street in Qijing, Baxiang, Fucheng. He often takes his friends to the streets and alleys of Fucheng. Unfortunately, I did not finish the 13th Street in Qijing, Baxiang, and Lane together.
Qiongtai Academy is a common concentration place for our activities. One year, the plum blossoms in Qiongtai Academy bloomed. Mr. Gushui took everyone to see it, and later it became a place for internet celebrities to check in. Walking from Qiongtai Academy to County Qianjie and County Back Street, Mr. Gushui took us to see the Qiongshan County at that time. There was an acquaintance of Mr. Gushui in the old house in the alley on the road, so he took us in to see the buildings of the old house. In Caoya Lane, he took us to see Wu Dian's former residence, and in an old house in a certain alley, he also took us to see the stone cabinets of Wu Dian's 4 "caught gold" back then. Later, I took us to the Qing Dynasty building "Three City Hall" on Zhongjie Road for tea, and also generously treated us to...
Last June, Mr. Gushui learned that the Qiongzhou City Palace in Fucheng was rare to open for activities, and took us to visit. There was the first time I knew that there was a City Palace Palace Temple in Fucheng, which was Qiongzhou City Palace and the City Palace Temple in Qiongshan County. There we were enthusiastic about eating sugar water noodles with the people. Afterwards, he took us to see the former residence of Xia Sheng, the Jinshi. He chatted with the descendants of the Xia family, so that we could complete the shooting activities smoothly. Then he visited Xiazhai Lane (Renhefang) and looked at Danxia Well, one of the seven wells, and Fulu Well not far away on the East Street. I was shocked by the deep marks polished by the ropes that people drew water at the wellhead.
Mr. Gushui often calls for the protection of old buildings such as the ancient city walls and drum towers in the palace. I remember that he was very happy when the ancient city wall near Zhongshan Road was cleaned and re-sealed.Once (2016.10) he took me and two old friends through the east gate of the city to find the ancient official road. They watched the changes in the ancient city and talked about how they walked the ancient road when they were young. Unexpectedly, they were already middle-aged and elderly. On the way, an uncle said to me in Hainan dialect and : "Brother, you have to do whatever you do at work, do you know?" I didn't understand the expression of Qiongshan dialect at that time, and Teacher Gu Shui also explained to me. Later, I worked very hard at work and lived up to their expectations. When I walked back from the east gate, I said I hadn’t been to the Gulou yet. Mr. Gushui said you hadn’t been to the Gulou yet? I live there and take you there next time... After all, I haven't waited for Mr. Gushui to take me to the Drum Tower.

Mr. Gushui has traveled to hundreds of villages over the years, and he is very happy to lead everyone to re-enter these villages. Every time he re-entered, he is as curious and passionate as his first time. On weekends, I often receive a call from Mr. Gu Shui in the morning: "Mr. Jinjiang, are you free? We are going to go to xx Village to see it and gather at the intersection of Meteorological Street at 2:00 in the afternoon." So I immediately "taken off" with my family and went to study with everyone. Mr. Gushui organized activities very carefully. He would arrange everyone in the car and instruct everyone to ask for the gas expenses of AA. If you are eating outside, it will be AA. Try to eat simpler and not waste extravagance.
Around Haikou is a place where we often go to school. I won’t talk about Fucheng and Pandan Village in the city. I often go to Longtang, Longquan, Longqiao, Xinpo, Jiuzhou, Shishan and other places. For example, Snake Bridge is a place where Mr. Gushui and others went to Snake Bridge and became the internet celebrity check-in place today. Of course, when we went to Snake Bridge, we encountered the bridge on the water. This is what Mr. Gushui had already checked out before. In the old and new ditches not far from the snake bridge, we saw the scene of farmers harvesting in the fields. There were many wetlands not far away. We visited the elves on the wetland - Shuicaihua . We looked at various ancient stone bridges, or on the side of the road, we saw mature tongue-cutting lilies, and happily picked them down and ate them like children...
Mr. Gushui was particularly interested in the ancient village gate. When he saw the ancient village gate, he always tried to measure the size of the ancient gate. For this reason, he always carried a ruler with him. Over the years, many ancient village doors have been demolished, and perhaps only Mr. Gushui's camera can find their former appearance.
4. City and County Tour
In addition to Haikou, we also study in other cities and counties on the island together, whether it is the East, West, or the Middle Line, leaving our footprints.
As Chengmai people, my understanding of Chengmai is far less than that of Mr. Gu Shui. For example, in ancient times, Longji Village, which produced tribute rice , a one-person village, Fengpingyue Pavilion, Daxie Waterfall, and Luoyi Village, which has rich historical connotations. He knew all the ancient houses, ancient academies, and even ancient pottery in these ancient villages, and told us in a casual manner.
For example, there is a year when Kapok flowers bloom, Mr. Gushui took us to Hongjiaoling to shoot the picture of Kapok on the train, and then went to the ancient roads of Chaomei Beach and lingshui to 100 Ning . For example, let’s go to Lingao to see Ancient Silver Waterfall , see Caiqiao’s memories, and see Zhan’anjing. For example, we look at the Fu family compound in Wenchang ; for example, we look at the century-old church; for example, we look at the Beauty Peak in Baisha County...
As an otaku, under the leadership of Mr. Gushui, I walked out of the house to understand the history, culture and cultural customs of various parts of Hainan. It is precisely because of this that I am what Ah Neng looks like today.
5. Deep in the mountains
In the past two years, the day activity that has been impressed by the deepest impression is to walk into the deep mountains with Mr. Gu Shui and the Hainan team members.
From March last year to May this year, we re-tracked the path of Stubo in four times. In the first season, we took the road from Shihan to Liban, and witnessed the relocation of the village at the relocated old village of Liban; in the second season, we took the road from Nanfeng to Chongwei, and witnessed the fact that Chongwei was flooded by the reservoir; in the third season, we walked the Daqi River Valley, and saw the thatched huts of the village of Li ethnic group and the relocated Yama Village at the Hongshui Village, which was close to what Shitubo calls the most beautiful Xinleyan area in Hainan Island; in the fourth season, we walked to Gaofeng Village, one of the most remote villages in Hainan Province. Gaofeng Village is located in the hinterland of Parrot Ridge , and is located at the upper reaches of the source of Nandu River . In Gaofeng Village, we gained beautiful scenery and food, and learned the history and culture of the Li people, and we were very rewarding.
We also walked into the deep mountains and forests of Qianzhong, looking for the former arsenal site, where I learned the story about mailboxes 13, 14 and 15 for the first time. We also visited the Li people's queen Wang Yanda . We camped in Binwen Village and fell asleep under the stars in the sky.
In the deep mountains, I became very interested in the Li ethnic culture in Hainan. Later, I bought a large number of books to read, trying to learn more about Hainan's ethnic minority culture.
6. About studying Hainan
Mr. Gu Shui and I went to many places in Hainan together because of studying Hainan. I would like to thank Tianya Community for its earliest place to post and promote Hainan culture.
On April 29, 2016, the 4th anniversary party was held in Hainan. At that time, hundreds of Hainan team members gathered together, and Mr. Gu Shui also delivered a passionate speech. In 2013, the grassroots team of "Day Hainan" won the "Touching Hainan" collective award. It is said that as long as you post a post to convene an event, people would be filled in half a day. Unfortunately, when the daytime activities were the hottest in Hainan, I passed by them. When I joined in 2016, my popularity in Hainan began to decline. In June 2016, the 79th day of the day in Lin Honggaowei Building in Luowu Village was the 199th day of the day. Since then, Mr. Gu Shui has always remembered every day of the Hainan day of the day. The 100th day activity of the retracing the Shitubo Road on the banks of the Daqi River in May 2019, while the 101st day activity of the retracing the Shitubo Road on the Gaofeng Village in May this year was the 101st day activity, with a one-year interval.
After the 100th day activity ended, Mr. Gu Shui asked whether to organize an annual meeting for Hainan, but unfortunately he failed to do so.
I think that day study Hainan has a very important position in Mr. Gu Shui's mind, and many of the friends who used to be day study are no longer there. Some people say that Mr. Gu Shui is almost trying to appeal for Hainan’s history and culture alone. Are there still people trying to appeal for Hainan’s history and culture now?
I want to have a fixed place, or the association can allow this group of like-minded people to work together to appeal for Hainan’s history and culture.
7. Other
In addition to having a common topic between Mr. Gu Shui and I because of my day in Hainan, Mr. Gu Shui will also give me a lot of help in life. For example, the encouragement for me at work mentioned above; for example, Mr. Gushui helped me buy a set of "Hainan Local Chronicles Series" at a discounted price, which made me go to read while reading; for example, after Mr. Gushui's hard drive failed, it was impossible to read the early materials, so he asked me to repair and read the data and left some of the materials for me to learn; for example, after Mr. Gushui saw the photos I took not long ago, he specifically told me not to take other people's shrines and tombs in the future; for example, at the end of July this year, Mr. Gushui was very concerned about it and only felt relieved after learning that it would not affect me too much.
Recently, the scene of being with Mr. Gu Shui is constantly replaying in my mind. Many clips are like they happened a few days ago, which made me think a lot. Now I write these contents as a record of these clips.
