It is understood that Tian Yimiao once taught at Shanghai Conservatory of Music . He is the chief IP of domestic classical music courses. He has served as an expert judge for programs such as "Singer", "I Am a Singer", " Voice Entering the Heart ". He has been committed to the popularization and promotion of classical music for many years. "Whether a child can learn music well depends on how parents accompany him. Are children suitable for learning music? This should not be a problem, because all children like to sing and dance, which is a kind of instinct for children. The focus of music education should not be professional music education, but national music education needed by the general public. It affects the future of a country, a nation and society." Tian Yimiao said bluntly that when he went to lectures in various places, he found that there were still many problems in our music education. For example, commercial, secular, one-sided and empty teaching projects take up a lot of children's time and energy, but cannot let music really penetrate into their hearts and growth, which will lead to their body and mind being destroyed by pressure; or are filled with various slogans, such as "focus on children's art education", "learning the piano easily", "Aesthetics is the ultimate goal of education", but do not propose specific and feasible measures and methods; or conduct indoctrination teaching or even wrong teaching, which kills children's musical nature; or teachers themselves learn how they used to teach now, ignoring that children's physical and mental development is not the same in each era, and the education model should also keep pace with the times.
She believes that music education is not very similar to other education. It can be more fun, like a game. The sense of music exists in everyone's body and is a life instinct. Good music education is never indoctrination, but requires guiding people’s musical instincts from the inside out to let their souls feel music. Music education should have vitality, such as a certain internal organic connection, which is gradually progressing, and it is developing, flexible and systematic.
"Don't treat amateurs as amateurs, should we teach amateurs as a professional? That's right, it's just that we treat amateurs as a professional that children can truly understand what music is. If we treat them as amateurs, we don't correct the rhythm of the wrong sound and the rhythm does not matter if there is no music. How can they really understand music? The purpose of music education is to give them good music? Professionalism does not mean technical difficulty and height, but music quality and cultivation. Low-difficulty music can also be played professionally, and simple music can also be full of musical sense, just like you can see beauty in a small wild flower." Tian Yimiao said that the ultimate goal of music education is not to cultivate music masters or geniuses, but to build a vibrant music cultural environment, and to make a generation love music.
