I am over fifty, I have walked most of my life, I have walked a long road, I have experienced a lot of things, I have seen a lot of people clearly, I have tasted the ups and downs of life, and I understand the truth of life.
After reaching the age of fifty, I gradually realized that some people are simply not worth talking to or having deep friendship with.
Many times, the more we desire the attention of others, the more disappointed we will be. Instead, reduce your expectations, see clearly the character of some people, clean up your own circle, live a subtractive life, treat yourself well, and take care of yourself. This is the most important thing.
When you are over fifty and entering the second half of your life, don’t worry about unworthy people and things.
Simple life is happiness. The happiest thing in life is to have a few true friends, talk about life, home affairs, laugh, sit with your family, and live in harmony, that is happiness.
When you are over fifty, you should learn to streamline your circle and enrich your heart. When facing these two kinds of people, stop caring about them. It’s not worth it.
First: Learn to stay away from people who don’t like you.
In fact, you have to know that people around you are often the ones who don’t want to see you well.
Maybe it's your colleague, maybe it's some of your friends, maybe it's your neighbor, maybe it's your relative, maybe it's someone you have helped.
People who hate you are often plotting against you, cheating on you, and jealous of your life.
Seeing that your life has improved, they feel that you cannot live better than them. Therefore, because of their psychological imbalance, they will think of some ways to frame you.
I don't like your good colleagues, they will say bad things about you behind your back, put you in a bad position, and want you to step down.
Don't see your best friends, they will sow discord and make your life miserable.
Don't see your good neighbors, they will spread rumors about you and make your life difficult. The worse you are, the happier they will be.
People who don’t like you are actually very hypocritical. They appear to be one thing but behind the scenes, they don’t take you seriously and will never treat you sincerely.
Even if you are tolerant again and again, you cannot change their view of you.
If your sincerity doesn't warm their conscience, then stop being polite to them. When it's time to fall out, do it, otherwise they will think you are easy to bully.
Sometimes in life, you have to live a tougher life, show your own bottom line, and not let others invade and trample on you, so that you will not suffer.
After the age of fifty, stay away from people who don't like you, stop talking to them, and live your own life.

Second: Don’t have close friendships with people who treat you as a “fool”.
People who treat you as a fool actually don't take you seriously. They think you are very honest and kind, so they use you everywhere, boss you around, and ask for things from you. They never know how to be grateful.
They will only take advantage of you. They are not grateful for your efforts at all, and they will not give you anything in return. They just think you are stupid, are always available, and can eat and drink from you.
I think of a eldest sister who was sixty years old. She went through a lot of hardships before she gradually gained the wealth she has now.
But it has become a matter of course that her various relatives take money from her every month. The eldest sister has her own family to support, and she has to support these poor relatives every month. Instead, she stopped giving them money for a month, and they immediately called to urge her, and even cursed her.
Moreover, the eldest sister hated to see some literati in distress. She saw a few so-called professors with unstable incomes, so she went to help them. However, those literati spent all day eating, drinking and having fun together with nothing to do. Every time they went out to eat, when they were done eating, they called the eldest sister over. In fact, they just wanted her to foot the bill.
Those poor relatives, those literati, are actually the elder sisters who act as fools and cash machines. They don't know how to be grateful at all. They only ask for and use. They contact you when they need you, and they turn against you when they don't need you.
You treat them as relatives and friends, but they may not treat you as a friend, they just want to take advantage of you.
When you are over fifty, you should promptly eliminate those people who are not worthy of deep friendship, and learn to make friends with those who are good.
The second half of your life is very precious. You have to live your life and don't let others deceive you or take advantage of you.
Your kindness should be reserved for those who are truly kind to you.
