Youth is not a time of life; it is a state of mind; it is not a matter of rosy cheeses, red lips and supplies knees; it is a matter of the will, a quality of the imagination, a vigor of the emotions; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life.
Youth is not the youth, but the state of mind; youth is not the peach face, red lips, soft knees, but the deep will, magnificent imagination, and hot love; youth is the deep spring of life flowing.
Youth means a temperature-mental predominance of courage over timing, of theappetite for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20. Nobody grows old merely by a number of years. We grow old by deserting our ideals.

Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul.Worry, fear, self-distrust bows the heart and turn the spring back to dust.
The years are gone, and decay only reaches the skin; if you abandon your enthusiasm, decadence will lead to your soul. Worry, panic, and loss of self-confidence will inevitably cause the mind to be distorted and the spirit will be ashes.
Whether 60 or 16, there is in every human being’s heart the lure of wonder, the unfailing childlike appeal of what’s next and the joy of the game of living. In the center of your heart and my heart there is a wireless station: so long as it receives messages of beauty, hope, cheer, courage and power from men and from the Infinite, so long are you young.
No matter how old you are in your sixties, or you are in your 28th anniversary, you will have the joy of life and the temptation of miracles. The innocence as a child will last forever. Everyone has an antenna in their hearts. As long as you receive signals of beauty, hope, joy, courage and strength from heaven and earth, you will be forever young and will be eternal.
When the aerials are down, and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old, even at 20, but as long as your aerials are up, to catch waves of optimism, there is hope you may die young at 80.
Once the antenna drops, your sharpness will be covered with ice and snow, and you will be cynical and abandoned by yourself. Even if you are twenty years old, you are already old; however, as long as you raise the antenna and capture the optimistic signal, you will hope to feel young when you say goodbye to the world at the age of eighty.
