As we grow up, whether at home or in school, the most preached by the people around us is: study hard, work hard, be sensible, and get along with others, but few people will teach us how to make ourselves happy.

When I was young, although my life was hard, I had a few playmates, chasing bees and butterflies, catching fish and playing with shrimps, and I didn’t know the taste of sorrow all day long. When I grew up, I was busy with work, tired of life, tired of running around, and couldn't stop rushing every day.

Sometimes I ask myself: Is this what I wanted to grow up and the tomorrow I have been looking forward to when I was a child? I don’t know, although life like "black and black" is the best answer, we always feel unwilling to be willing to be in the heart, unwilling to be in the ruthlessness of time, so that even memories seem extravagant; unwilling to be in the coldness of reality, so that even ideals seem empty; unwilling to be silent, so that even the future seems out of reach...

Maybe people will no longer believe in fairy tales and no longer have the desire to listen to stories once they grow up. There are more and more people coming into contact with, but fewer and fewer people want to get close to, more and more people greeting us, but fewer and fewer people ask us if we are good or not.

We also want to be better, after all, no one is willing to be mediocre after being born. But the storms of life will not be opened up because of our wishes. Slowly, after experiencing some things, we hid those storms between us and waited for the years to brew into our stories!

Later on, we had stories and thoughts, and we always played a single song we like in a loop, and we would always shed tears because of a certain lyrics. We thought it was age that made us emotional and sad, and it was lyrics that made us moved. In fact, what moved us was never the lyrics and age, but the sudden discovery of our own figure in the lyrics and discovering that self who had never changed no matter how time changed.

When we grow up, we have to face not only life situations, but also spiritual loneliness. I don’t know how many people would not go upstairs and go home immediately after they were finished. We would rather turn off the fire, tilt our heads on the steering wheel, think about nothing, or light a cigarette, and sniff the cigarette rings in a daze. We are not trying to enjoy this rare moment of comfort, but we are just greedy for this moment of peace that we don’t have to face for the moment.

The price of growing up is that happiness is becoming more and more rare. There are many things that can be done, but fewer things that can be done without doing; there are many places that can be gone, but fewer places that don’t want to go back when you can go; there are many people who can drink, but fewer people who can make us want to be drunk...

Later on, the more we experience, the simpler we want. Perhaps my young self wants fame, profit, and perfect love. Now I just want to have lights when it’s dark, umbrella when it rains, and someone who understands me will accompany me!

I hope that when everyone is asking you to become better, there is another person who stands up. He doesn’t care whether you are excellent or not, nor does he care whether you understand or not. He only cares whether you are happy today.

I hope that no matter how time flies, how many storms of life, we who come back will still be treated with gentleness...
