We feel that we are collapsed. I hope we can overcome this hurdle smoothly.
The years of reform and development have finally allowed many Chinese people to live a good life and open up, allowing us to see the true appearance of the world, no longer being a frog in the well, no longer thinking that two-thirds of the people in the world are still suffering, understand the difference between backwardness and advancedness, and know what a good life is like. Good life is the real fireworks in the world, and hard life is not.
In the difficult days, everyone is working hard to keep the good days we have, hoping that the dawn will reappear. The Master Wu I met was one of the hardest efforts.

My hometown is Jinggangshan . Jinggangshan is the cradle of the Chinese revolution, a famous revolutionary base, a place where sparks can set off a prairie fire, but Jinggangshan is also a famous national-level poverty-stricken county. It was not until February 2017 that it was the first place in the country to get rid of poverty and became the first place in the country to get rid of poverty. It has been 68 years since the founding of New China. Such a place that has made great contributions to the Chinese revolution. After so many years of poverty, can you believe it?
Before poverty alleviation, Jinggangshan accounted for about 20% of the total population, twice the national average. I was born in this poor family. In the whole village, my family is still from the bottom of poverty. You may not even imagine what it is to be poor.
There are more than 100 families in our village, all scattered in the mountains, grandparents are sick, and they are lying in bed for many years. I have an older brother and a younger sister. The life of the family of seven is entirely maintained by my father doing odd jobs outside. My father works everywhere, and the farm work and housework at home, as well as taking care of sick elderly people all rely on my mother. She gets up early and goes to bed late every day, and keeps busy. The family can’t eat enough. I have never worn new clothes before I come out, nor have I had a full meal. Those days in my hometown are the most painful memories in my life.
Our family was suffering from poverty. It was not until 1990 that my brother went to Guangdong to work and sent money to his family every month that his family's life improved a little.
After Grandpa Deng’s southern tour, a wave of working outside in his hometown appeared. I also went to Guangdong to find my brother. Later, my brother followed the boss to Shanghai, and I came together. My brother and boss are in the building materials business. After opening several stores, I went to the store to work as a helper. When my sister grew up, she also went to Shanghai.
Later, my brother opened a company by himself. Under the leadership of my brother, my sister and I each opened a store. Although the store was not big, the business was good. With the hard work of the family, we accumulated wealth bit by bit, so we bought a house, got married, had children, and lived a life that we could not imagine before.
The economic environment in those years was really good. No matter what industry you are in, as long as you work hard enough, you will definitely gain something. When family members are together or friends are together, many times they are talking about how to do business better. At that time, everyone is full of confidence and we really caught up with a good era.
After the death of grandparents, my brother took his parents to Shanghai to live together. Our brother and sister's homes all live in the same community, each with their own homes, and they also take care of each other. The whole family is together, living an ordinary life in the eyes of others, but in our eyes it is a paradise. The most important thing is to be free from the terrible poor days forever.
The epidemic has been going on for three years, and business is getting worse and worse. Some colleagues who can't stand it can only close their doors and go back to their hometown. I am still persevering. As long as I can get through it, I will not give up. I hope that everything will be fine after the epidemic is over. The children all grew up in big cities, and they couldn't go back to that barren place at all. Even I, who grew up there, didn't want to go back.
The person I want to thank most in my life is Grandpa Deng Xiaoping. Without him, our family might always stay in a poor mountainous area and live a life of extremely difficult and hopelessness.
I spent 30 years to complete the mission from poverty to well-off society, from mountainous areas to metropolis, so that my children can get rid of the fate of poverty and have a higher starting point. I am particularly pleased with this.
