A total of one-third of the bottle of oil is consumed. If it is juice, the oil consumption will be as much as half a bottle.
Before graduating from university, like many young people who have never been to the oil field, first-class engineer of Tuha Oilfield and technical expert of China Petroleum and Gas Centre also thought that if an oil well was drilled, the oil could be sprayed out, or extracted, and then applied to all aspects of our lives. However, when he arrived at Tuha Basin , he realized that oil is contained in rocky sand and needs to be "washed out" again and again through water, polymers, etc.
Recently, the reporter followed the theme publicity activity of "Chinese Dream·Great Power Craftsmen" and in a conversation with Fang Zhigang, he learned about the entire process of oil from mining, refining and output, as well as the "Tuha Qi Ju", the iconic brand technology of China Petroleum . "Gas oil recovery is an oil recovery method that injects high-pressure gas from the ground into the well, uses the principle of gas expansion to reduce the liquid density in the wellbore and lifts crude oil to the ground." Fang Zhigang is an excellent representative of this technology research and is the leader of the gas recovery technology innovation team in recent years.
"What we do is to make oil wells have high yields and stable yields"
"Every day, facing the long yellow sand and the vast Gobi Desert, I feel a little monotonous and lonely after a long time, but I am used to it." After graduating from university, Fang Zhigang, a young man from the northeast, came to the northwest of his motherland, which made him gradually develop a special feeling for the land of Xinjiang. The vast desert contains infinite possibilities in his eyes. "If you want to dry oil, you want to choose the place with the most oil fields. The most promising place in the future is Xinjiang," he said.

When I first arrived at the Tuha Oilfield, Fang Zhigang came to Tuha Drilling Company for an internship. However, the drilling work is very different from the scene that Fang Zhigang imagined. Fang Zhigang started working from the site every day, lifted the drill rod and cleared the rock chips, and was covered in mud and oil. What impressed me the most was that one day a drilling well nearby had overflows, and several drilling teams helped to match mud. Fang Zhigang and his colleagues carried barite powder and poured bags into the mud pond. A bag of 25 kilograms was busy from the afternoon to the late night. When the danger was lifted, everyone was exhausted and collapsed in the well.
This is the first time Fang Zhigang has experienced heavy physical labor. Later, I heard from my master that overflow is a precursor to the blowout, and barite powder and mud are used to make blowouts by pressing wells. If you can't suppress the well, it will be fine. If you can't suppress the well, it will be a blowout accident, and the most serious damage will be caused by the plane. At that time, what appeared in Fang Zhigang's mind was the scene of the Iron Man Wang Jinxi jumping into the mud pool, and he also understood the special significance of everyone pulling their shoulders and carrying them behind their backs.
After the first Spring Festival in Tuha Oilfield, the company notified Fang Zhigang to report to the Engineering and Technology Research Institute. When I arrived at the of the Engineering Academy, I entered the gas lifting center. Fang Zhigang’s first task was to design a small wellbore expansion packer. At that time, Tuha Oilfield used the window side drilling process to bring back a group of old wells and damaged wells to re-employed. However, the small diameter packer that matches it does not have in China, so the oil field decided to develop it on its own.
When designing the rubber cylinder, the research team encountered difficulties. If the size is small, the pressure bearing capacity is insufficient, and if the size is large, it cannot go down into the well.The repeated adjustments to the design failed to solve the problem. "It's like a seesaw, I don't care about this one or the other," said Fang Zhigang.
soaked in the workshop for several days. Fang Zhigang repeatedly thought about it and found that the most serious deformation of the rubber cylinder was mainly at the two ends, and this factor was also the main factor that affected the sealing performance.
"Can the rubber barrel be changed from fixed to mobile, which not only reduces the risk of damage, but also improves sealing." Fang Zhigang's idea came up with, and after implementation, the problem was solved. The master asserted that the young man can succeed by doing technology and research.
After oil well production for a period of time, the pressure drop and the output drop all need to be increased by artificial lifting. In Fang Zhigang's view, among the many artificial lifting and oil production methods, Qili can best exert the energy of the reservoir itself. Under the conditions of gas source, gas lifting and oil production is the most economical and effective artificial lifting method in the oil field. Moreover, from the initial stage of production to the final shutdown and shutdown of production, gas lip can produce oil throughout the life cycle.
With gas lift, wells that are not sufficient for self-spraying can be produced normally, low-yield wells can increase production, and high-yield wells can achieve higher yields. Fang Zhigang often vividly said to the Qiju team members, "What we do is to make oil wells high and stable production, make oil fields efficiently develop, and strive to make oil fields younger."

In 2010, Fang Zhigang took over the 48-ton gas well lifting technical services of the Middle East BBA Oilfield, and the biggest problem is the Qiju tool.
BBA oil field crude oil has "four highs", high sulfur content, high wax content, high carbon dioxide content, and high asphaltene, which has high requirements for sulfur and corrosion protection from underground tools. Especially the oil well has a large size and high output, the diameter of the working cylinder of gas lift valve is required to be 168 mm, while the previous maximum size of the gas lift is only 127 mm.
"The diameter has increased by 41 mm, which seems to have increased by only one-third, but the difficulty of the process is a geometric increase, so how easy it is!" The tool research and development and manufacturing tests are completed within one year and put into on-site application. The time is tight, the task is heavy, and the difficulty is high. When I first took over the task in 2010, many people described it as an "impossible task."

The upper and lower ends of the gas lift valve working cylinder are connected to the oil pipes, with a relatively small diameter, while the body part is larger in diameter, and the overall "two ends are small and thick in the middle". In the past, most of the gas lift valve working cylinders used welding technology, three-section combinations and two welds. Sulfur has a great impact on welds, and the anti-sulfur welding process is more difficult.
Domestic factories have found one after another, but none of them can guarantee sulfur resistance welding. "Welding cannot be modified forging!" Forging is also difficult. To solve the problem of shrinkage ratio and compressive resistance, we repeatedly optimize the structure many times, and finally we had to choose a special-shaped working cylinder similar to an ellipse.
Press the gourd to float up, avoiding the problem of welding and facing the test of forging. The special-shaped structure has brought about a huge increase in the difficulty of forging and processing. It took more than half a year to find a top domestic factory in Shenyang.
has solved dozens of problems of all sizes, almost all of which are original solutions. Finally, it is time to awaken the downhole qi lifting tool. The qi lifting tool that has been dormant in the well for several years can be started normally? The 028 well gas lifting ceremony touches the hearts of all parties in the oil field. Although every step of the qi lift is carefully calculated and thoughtfully, oil production under such harsh conditions still uses many original technologies, which is not a precedent in China. "It's a dragon or an insect, and we'll see the final conclusion." Just like welcoming the birth of a child, Fang Zhigang was both nervous and excited in those days, "I still have confidence in the work I do!"
At 9 a.m. on July 18, 2017, as the gas injection valve opened, natural gas was continuously injected into the wellbore.The first-level valve passes, the second-level valve passes... Two days later, the gas lift well enters normal working state, and the oil well production has steadily increased until it exceeds 30% of the initial daily output. The oil field has won the environmental protection award from the local government, which is the first time that the local government’s foreign cooperation project has won such an honor in decades.
"My greatest value is here"

At the end of 2014, my father, who was far away in the Northeast, was critically ill, and Fang Zhigang hurried back to his hometown. When I met my father in the hospital, my condition was very serious and it was no longer suitable for treatment. The father said, "Child, let's go home." When he went home that day, his father passed away in the middle of the night.

Fang Zhigang said that the most regrettable thing was that he failed to touch his father and let him live together in Xinjiang during his lifetime.
After the birth of his youngest daughter, he was on business trips all year round. I occasionally take a vacation, but I can't stay for a few days before leaving. When I first met my father, my little daughter felt unfamiliar and cried endlessly. Go to bed at night and chase it out. A few days later, I finally felt a little warm and it was time to leave again.
In 2011, Tuhaqiju entered the Middle East market. As the head of the Tuha Qiju Middle East Project in Beijing, Fang Zhigang is as busy as a top every day. July was a critical moment in business operations, and the two daughters had a high fever at the same time. Three days later, the fever remains unabated. My wife was so anxious that she couldn't help but call Fang Zhigang.

Fang Zhigang handled the work at hand overnight and told his colleagues well, so he hurried back to Xinjiang and rushed to the hospital. At this time, the child's body temperature exceeded 40 degrees Celsius, especially the one and a half years old daughter, who was even more serious. She was in a drowsy state after having a fever. The doctor suggested transferring to the hospital immediately. I rushed to Urumqi overnight and the hospital directly arranged to enter the intensive care unit . Seeing the child with oxygen and gastric tubes inserted, this strong Northeastern man shed tears. Fortunately, three days later, the high fever was relieved and the child could open his eyes. The couple felt a little relieved. A week later, the child was transferred to the general ward. Fang Zhigang was ready to endure his wife's complaints and scolding, but his wife said nothing. She understands that most oil families are like this.
In the past few years, some mainland companies also offered olive branches, promising high salaries, hoping to seek common development. Fang Zhigang politely declined. He said: "It was the sacrificing qi that made me successful. My greatest value is here, and the stage for displaying my talents is also here."
