Microsoft will push the Windows 11 22H2 major update in a few weeks, and Windows Insider testers have been the first to preview related features - such as a taskbar that supports drag and drop, faster context menus, and a new version of the task manager. First of all, the new version of the task manager ushered in Fluent Design and WinUI 3.0 style, which looks more modern and more consistent with the rest of the system. Secondly, the key options on the left also receive a new layout similar to the “Settings” application.

Additionally, more common tasks have been moved to the top bar to make room for new options in Task Manager in Windows 11 22H2.
It is worth mentioning that in the Build 22588 compiled version, Microsoft is also testing a new feature - allowing users to generate "core" or "complete" crash dumps through the Task Manager.
It is reported that when Windows encounters an abnormality such as a blue screen of death (BSOD), the system will automatically generate such a crash dump file. Subsequent users can easily resolve multiple issues using specific system tools because the dump file contains system memory records at the time of the crash.
As shown in the screenshot, starting with the next feature update (22H2), Windows 11 will be able to generate crash dumps with the help of the new version of Task Manager. Windows Latest pointed out that this change also improves the Task Manager experience for touch screen users.
Finally, in addition to Fluent Design, Microsoft has also introduced Mica design elements into the new version of Task Manager, which allows this system tool to better match the desktop wallpaper and look great in light/dark mode.
