[ mobile phone China news] We all know that Apple once accused Samsung of plagiarizing the iPhone. For this reason, they fought a legal battle for nearly ten years, which eventually ended in a settlement between the two companies. Although neither Samsung nor Apple disclosed detailed settlement terms, Apple executives still seem to believe that their technology was copied and "plagiarized" by Samsung. In a new documentary released today, Apple marketing director Greg Joswick expressed similar sentiments.

Samsung and Apple

This documentary interviewed the father of the iPod Tony Fadell and Greg Joswick. When Joswick was asked about the influence of Samsung and other Android phone manufacturers on Apple at that time "They (Samsung) are annoying," he said at U of T, adding: "They're annoying because they stole our technology, copied our innovations, and made a poor copy. Samsung just followed the iPhone template and made a phone with a larger screen.”

Foreign media reported that some of Samsung’s earliest S series and Note series models were accused of copying the iPhone, and some media also unreasonably criticized it at that time. Samsung has been labeled as a copycat. This is simply because the Samsung phone , like almost every other phone on the market, had a home button on the front.

It has to be said that Samsung has led many major changes in the smartphone industry. For example, it was one of the first companies to promote the trend of large-screen mobile phones, and in recent years, Samsung has created a series of innovative products such as folding screen mobile phones that have disrupted the industry.
