A reporter from Beijing Daily found on July 28 that WeChat’s watch and bracelet payment functions have been opened to some users through a grayscale test. From now on, you can use Apple Watch to buy afternoon tea.
Previously, WeChat Pay has not supported Apple Watch. Other Xiaomi and Huawei smart watches also only support Alipay. Now, through the newly added watch and bracelet payment functions, WeChat is also connected to smart wearable devices.
According to the WeChat user agreement, the user scans the activation QR code on the wearable device through the WeChat client on the mobile terminal, and connects the wearable device (including but not limited to smart watches, bracelets, children’s watches, etc.) to WeChat After the payment account is bound and WeChat payment is turned on for the wearable device, the WeChat payment can be made on the wearable device and the payment barcode can be displayed. In this way, the merchant only needs to scan the payment barcode on the user's wearable device, and the payment can be completed without a mobile phone.

Open WeChat on Apple Watch, swipe left, and you will see the option of "Enable Payment". If you don't have this option, it means that you are not yet eligible for the experience. Click "Open Payment", and a QR code for confirmation of opening payment will appear.
After the reporter scanned the QR code through the mobile phone WeChat, the "Watch and bracelet payment" interface appeared on the mobile phone WeChat. Enter the payment device interface.
In the payment settings interface, you can set daily deduction limits and priority payment methods. WeChat Pay currently only supports a maximum daily payment limit of RMB 1,000.
After setting, click Open, enter the payment password to confirm, and the watch and bracelet payment function is successfully enabled.
