Former Coinbase engineers have raised $5.3 million in funding
Scale3 Labs, founded by former Coinbase engineers, has raised $5.3 million in seed funds. This round of financing was led by Redpoint Ventures, with participation from Mysten Labs and Howard University. Scale3 Labs founders Ola Muse and Karthik Kalyanaraman left Coinbase in August and raised and completed seed rounds within two months. Scale3 is an infrastructure startup that specializes in serving blockchain node operators. Scale3 currently supports Mysten Labs' Sui blockchain on its platform called Autopilot. Next, it plans to support Ethereum, Solana and Aptos. Muse said Scale3's goal is to support the top 10 blockchains in the next six months. With new funding, Scale3 plans to grow its team and ecosystem.

In one of the memos sent to employees on September 15, Meta's vice president of Metaverse Vishal Shah said that the team will maintain a "quality blockade" for the rest of the year to "make sure we resolve our quality gaps and performance issues before opening Horizon to more users."
