driver exposed the number of MCDs of Navi 31:
AMD The driver patch submitted to the Linux kernel recently accidentally leaked the number of MCD memory controllers of Navi 31 with RDNA3 architecture, which is 6.
As if to cover up this omission, AMD replaced the word "MCD" with "UMC_NODE" a week later.
However, combined with previous rumors, it can basically be confirmed that Navi 31 has one GCD (Graphics Complex Die) and six MCD (Memory Complex Die). It is said that each GCD has a standard cache of up to 32MB, and an additional 32MB cache can be provided by 3D V-Cache, so that the Infinity Cache capacity of Navi 31 will reach 192MB or 384MB.
The image below shows potential chip configurations for Navi 3x GPUs. Graphics cards using these GPUs are expected to be launched later this year.
Win 7 has not cooled down, and its life has been extended for another 3 years:
For most players, Windows 7 has died as early as 2020. As new hardware is not supported and games developed with the new UE engine are not supported, Windows 7 has gradually reached its end in gaming computers, with the possible exception of corporate office computers.
According to statistics from StatCounter, up to 27.92% of domestic computers are still running Windows 7.
Now there is news that Windows 7 nail users are happy to hear: Microsoft has quietly extended the life of the Enterprise Edition and Professional Edition for another three years. License information extending to 2026 appears in the monthly patch from the ESU Paid Enterprise Support Extension.
Although ESU extension support is only available to paying enterprise users, ordinary Professional Edition users can also bypass relevant restrictions through a gadget called BypassESU v11. This version of the welfare tool has been available for more than 2 years, and Microsoft has not intervened.
