Nokia's "myth" no longer exists. It has been acquired by HMD and has been launching new phones in recent years, but some are tepid. In February this year, Nokia brought the Nokia G11 smartphone. Specs-wise, the Nokia G11 features a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD display with 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. Nokia's latest smartphone is powered by the Unisoc T606 processor, coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Additionally, there is a microSD card slot that supports up to 512GB of storage.

In terms of optics, the Nokia G11 smartphone launches with a triple-camera setup at its rear that includes a 13MP primary camera lens and a couple of 2MP sensors for macro and depth photography. On the front, the Nokia smartphone comes with an 8MP selfie camera sensor housed inside a waterdrop notch.

Now, at the end of June 2022, Nokia G11 will usher in a successor version, which is Nokia G11 Plus. Compared with the previously released Nokia G11, Nokia G11 Plus has not achieved significant upgrades, that is, it is still positioned in the thousand-yuan or even entry-level smartphone market.

Specifically, the machine is equipped with a 6.51-inch HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 90Hz. [90hz] represents the screen refresh rate. The higher the value of Hz , the smoother and more natural the screen we see. The refresh rate refers to the number of times the image on the screen is scanned repeatedly from top to bottom. The higher the refresh rate, the smoother the displayed picture. Although the human eye cannot recognize all 90 frame changes in one second, we can fill in more details during the screen transition process to make the transition of the screen more smooth and natural, especially in games that require fast switching. In the usage scenario of the screen. Nowadays, many of the new phones released by smartphone manufacturers such as Huawei, Xiaomi, OPPO, vivo, and Samsung support 90Hz or even 120Hz refresh rates on the screen.

On the front of the fuselage, the Nokia G11 Plus adopts a water drop screen design. The water drop screen is also called the water drop full screen. It is not a screen glass material, but a kind of mobile phone display solution named just above the mobile phone screen due to the pursuit of the ultimate bezel. It is named because the non-display area reserved for the camera at the top of the screen is about the size of a water droplet. Of course, in the smartphone market in 2022, the number of mobile phones with water drop screens is already decreasing. Most of the new phones released by major smartphone manufacturers adopt a perforated screen design. According to the introduction of the smartphone manufacturer Nokia, the Nokia G11 Plus is equipped with an 8-megapixel selfie camera. The back of the fuselage is equipped with a 50-megapixel main camera, a 2-megapixel auxiliary camera and an LED flash. In this regard, in the author's opinion, the 50-megapixel rear main camera can be said to be a competitive configuration in the smartphone market of the same grade.

Unfortunately, HMD officially did not disclose the processor information of the Nokia G11 Plus, but the company said that the machine provides 4GB of memory and 64GB of storage space, and supports MicroSD card expansion up to 512GB. In this regard, in the author's opinion, in the current smartphone market, the 4GB+64GB configuration can be regarded as entry-level, which means it is difficult to attract the attention of smartphone users. On the software side, the G11 Plus promises 2 years of Android system updates and 3 years of monthly security updates.

Finally, HMD Nokia advertises the battery life of the G11 Plus as 3 days, but does not mention the battery capacity. In this regard, according to industry insiders, since the G11 is equipped with a 5050 mAh battery, the Plus battery capacity should be larger, but it will at least remain at 5050mAh. Furthermore, long battery life should also be a competitive advantage of Nokia G11 Plus. Additionally, the Nokia G11 Plus comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack and USB-C port and is available in Lake Blue and Charcoal Grey. In this regard, in the author's opinion, retaining the 3.5mm headphone jack can meet the needs of music phone users.

Prior to this, the Nokia G11 was launched in two color options - Ice Blue and Charcoal Grey.It comes in a single variant with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. It is priced at €159 (approximately Rs. 13,000). Referring to the price of Nokia G11, the price of Nokia G11 Plus should not exceed 180 euros, which means the positioning of the two is basically the same. Generally speaking, in the global smartphone market, Nokia's market share lags behind Huawei, Xiaomi, OPPO, vivo, Samsung and other manufacturers. However, the Nokia brand operated by HMD still hopes to achieve better sales results through the release of low-end models. However, Nokia's long-term absence in the high-end flagship mobile phone market has obviously weakened Nokia's brand value in the mobile phone field. What do you think about this?
