Contraband and counterfeit goods information processing announcement
In order to maintain a safe, healthy and green platform ecological environment and protect the legitimate rights and interests of users, WeChat continues to Crack down on various illegal activities.
In order to standardize the information release behavior of WeChat personal accounts, the WeChat team has recently strengthened the crackdown on the release of contraband and counterfeit information on WeChat personal accounts.
1. Special cleanup of publishing and disseminating contraband marketing information
Using the Internet to sell contraband (such as aphrodisiacs) or illegally using the Internet to sell specific products (such as e-cigarettes) violates relevant laws and regulations. The "Tencent WeChat Software License and Service Agreement", "WeChat Personal Account Usage Specifications" and other relevant rules and agreements also clearly stipulate that WeChat users are not allowed to use WeChat to post illegal information.
From January to June 2022, we verified and confirmed through user complaint evidence and processed a total of 8,790 WeChat personal accounts that published "illegal and contraband" marketing information.
WeChat personal account shall not publish or display ,
disseminate various types of "illegal contraband" marketing information ,
including but not limited to the following examples

2. Special cleanup of publishing and disseminating counterfeit product marketing information
Using WeChat personal accounts to publish and disseminate counterfeit information, etc., according to the "Tencent WeChat Software License and Service Agreement", "WeChat Personal Account Usage Specifications" and other relevant rules and agreements, is an infringement of other people's intellectual property rights, and is not allowed by WeChat.
From January 1 to June 1, 2022, in response to the behavior of some users using Moments to publish counterfeit product information, after being effectively identified by the brand and reviewed by WeChat, WeChat deleted or blocked 26,000 illegal WeChat personal accounts. Counterfeit product information, warnings, restrictions or prohibitions on using the Moments function, account bans and other treatment measures.
