Winter
I woke up very early today. Breakfast was ready. It was still dark. It was half past six. There seemed to be some light outside. I went downstairs to exercise by the river.
The riverside was deserted, the wind was biting, and my hands hurt from the cold, so I started jogging.
Winter
For a long time, I didn’t meet anyone who came to exercise. In the past, there were many people exercising here, practicing Tai Chi, playing badminton, running, and singing. Now, there was no one except me. I took off my mask and ran forward alone.
Winter
After breakfast, I rode a battery car to work. The streets were empty. Occasionally, a delivery man passed by, and one or two cleaners could be seen on the roadside. I was a little dazed. I seriously doubted that today is a working day, right?
Winter
When I arrived at the company, there were only three or four people in the huge office area. I was the only one in our office. I had never enjoyed such treatment! I sprayed the entire office with alcohol, then poured a glass of water and started working.
Winter
While having lunch, the child’s father asked, no one in the community went out today? There are no parking spaces.
In the afternoon, the wind became stronger and whining, and my colleague’s battery car was blown over. I felt cold and had an ominous feeling in my heart. I prayed silently: No!
Winter
Occasionally, I look at my phone and see that today is the winter solstice!
