What is a "strange case": the murder case is real, the victim is real. Everything else was strange and inexplicable.
Gwangju an old tribute student with his son traveling far away. At home, he only has his daughter-in-law and a five-year-old granddaughter. When the neighbor saw that his daughter-in-law was beautiful, he said that the son of the old tribute student had borrowed money from him before he traveled, "A fake coupon was written and paid for it with his wife." Then he took the fake loan note to sue the official. Shen Xiyuan, who was the aide to the Gwangju Governor, and another official accepted bribes and sentenced him to "return his daughter-in-law to his neighbor." Although the old tribute student thought that the loan was fake, he had no choice but to do anything, he hanged himself in anger. The daughter-in-law first strangled her five-year-old daughter to death, and also hanged herself... on the seventh day of the first lunar month in the 51st year of Qianlong (1786), Shen Xiyuan "sees a person wearing a cap at night, bringing a young woman and a young girl to his bed, and teaches him to cough and vomit pink phlegm. Since then, the three ghosts have been stugging day and night, twisting all over their bodies, making them blue-purple, or sitting alone murmuring, and asking questions and answers for themselves." This was postponed to the fifteenth day of the first lunar month. Shen Xiyuan suddenly screamed in the bedroom. His family rushed into the bedroom. He was already dead. "The corpse was slapped on the chair, his mouth was wide open and his nose was raised, and his beards stood up, his eyes were like bells.
There is also a "boy suicide case", which is even more representative "strange case": there was a twelve-year-old child, whose parents "did his parents die one after another due to the epidemic." His uncle adopted him as his stepson and let him live alone in a room. One day, after noon, the child had not yet got up, and he refused to respond. When he opened the window, he saw that the child had committed suicide by hanging the beam. "The couple cried and called the neighbors to pick up the door and enter the room", and found that "there was only a earthen kang in the room, no chairs and tables. From the kang to the hanging beam, it is more than nine feet apart. How can a boy leap up? It's strange! I took the ladder to remove the body and found that the child hanged himself with a belt of more than four feet, and the belt was three feet on the beam of the hanging beam. "The neck was only more than three feet", and the neck was tightly tied. So how did he "buckle first and then enter the neck"? After discovering that the "behind the head of the horoscope" (the hanger rope of the suicide hanger passed through the ear and rose into the hairline, forming a lifting air above the head resting part, so the cable groove is not locked, which is one of the reference elements to determine whether the deceased committed suicide), the government confirmed that the child hanged himself. As for what artifact he pedaled under the beam of the house and how he put his head into a hanger that was not much larger than the diameter of the neck, it is really unknown.
