On November 21, 2020, the semi-finals of the Snooker Northern Ireland Open are all over. O'Sullivan and Trump defeated Carter and Grace respectively, and joined in the Northern Ireland Open final for three consecutive years.
O'Sullivan and Carter are absolute "old friends". The shoulder collision incident between the two in the 2018 World Championships was even brought up by WST before the game, adding to the smell of gunpowder in the semi-finals. After the start of the
semi-final, O'Sullivan scored the second game with one stroke, but Carter took a 3-1 lead in the first half.
