Shizhong District was named "Advanced Unit of the 12th Shandong Provincial National Fitness Games".

At present, there are more than 20 large-scale fitness plazas, sports parks and pocket fitness parks in the district, with 3 outdoor fitness, cycling and mountaineering paths. The administrative villages and communities have achieved full coverage of sports and fitness facilities construction. The area of sports and fitness venues in the district has reached 1.6616 million square meters, and the "fifteen-minute fitness circle" in urban communities has been basically completed.
Promote the standardized development of the sports industry. In 2022, three new sports associations were established and three new sports business institutions were added. There are 7 new sales outlets for sports lottery in the district. As of now, sports lottery sales have reached 145 million yuan, which has effectively promoted the widespread development of mass sports activities.
