Four teams including Tianjin, Jiangsu, Shanghai and Fujian won and took the lead in the best-of-three matchup.
The defending champion Tianjin team won three consecutive games after losing one game first and defeated the Shandong team 23:25, 25:8, 25:20, 25:21. National player Li Yingying scored 28 dunks and contributed a game-high 29 points to the Tianjin team. Foreign aid Vargas added 22 points. Tianjin team's secondary attackers Wang Yuanyuan and Zhang Shiqi each scored 13 points, and both stopped their opponents 4 times.
