Cold Dew is the penultimate solar term in autumn, and cold waves begin to hit. The climate characteristic of this stage is that the temperature is very unstable and there are often major changes. Therefore, when going out for fishing in late autumn, you need to look at the right time. There is a saying among the people that cold dew fish is happy and not relax, so it is still the peak season for fishing. However, compared with the mid-autumn stage, it is not suitable for going out in all weather.
1. Cloudy days
Cloudy days are more suitable for fishing throughout the year, unless it is a cloudy day before the rain in midsummer, because it is too stuffy and causes oxygen in the water, and the fish will be much worse. On cloudy days, there are small wind speeds, small temperature difference, and low light. In the period when the temperature is neither high nor low or very low, it is all weather for good fish. Because when the temperature is not high or low, the low light and wind are low on cloudy days, it will be more suitable for fishing for shallow water. When the temperature is very low, the temperature difference between day and night is small and the wind is small, so the water temperature will be relatively stable. Therefore, cloudy days can be said to be the most mainstream weather for wild fishing. Even in summer, many anglers still like to go out on cloudy days, because they are not so sunny.
2. Foggy days
Late autumn, winter and before the next year's late spring, morning fog weather is still relatively common. Foggy days often occur in seasons with low temperatures because the surface water vapor evaporates and encounters cold air from the upper floors, so there is also the saying that foggy days are warm in nature. As long as it is morning fog, the temperature difference between day and night is extremely small, which is very beneficial for fishing. At the same time, the formation of foggy days must be windless or breeze weather, which is also very suitable for going out in seasons with lower temperatures. After the fog is dissipated, it is mostly sunny and breezey. Compared with the sunny days with strong winds, fish will be much easier to catch. Except for the high-temperature summer, the other three seasons are more suitable for foggy fishing.
3. The first day of the cold wave
In the late autumn stage, cold air often goes south. Each time the cold air passes, the temperature will drop significantly. Remember one thing, after the cooling, you generally need to wait for 3 or 4 days. After the water temperature stabilizes again, the fish will get better again. Before the cold wave, the temperature was stable or even slightly higher, so it was also a good choice before fishing and cooling. It is especially important to note that the temperature drops extremely rapidly on the first day of cooling, but the water temperature drops slowly. This will occur on the first day of cooling. Although the temperature is low, the water temperature is not low. The fish will feel that the water temperature is falling and the food will be abnormally good. The first day of fishing for cold waves is only suitable for late autumn.
4. Slow and breeze
Although the sun is warm, it is not the best weather for fishing, and it is suitable for any season. For example, in spring and autumn, during the lukewarm and hot stages, you can catch shallow water. The sun is too strong, which causes the fish to dare not reach shallow water, so it is not as good as the fish in low-light weather such as cloudy and foggy days. In summer with high temperatures, sunny days will be hotter, so the fish will naturally not be better. In the winter of low temperatures, the temperature difference between day and night is too large on sunny days and nights, and the fish will open their mouths, but the foraging time is short, so it is often difficult to get good results. In late autumn, fish will be difficult to catch unless it is sunny and breeze. Because there is a strong wind on sunny days, as long as the wind is strong, no matter the temperature, the harvest will be basically bleak.
In addition to the common cooling weather after cold dew, another feature is that precipitation weather becomes less, so rainy days are not common in late autumn. The temperature before the rain is stable and often has a slight increase. It is also a good weather for fish to catch in late autumn, but it is not advisable to catch in and after the rain at this time.
