On September 27, 2022, we were fortunate to visit the Winter Olympics venues of Beijing Winter Olympics , one of the three major competition areas of Yanqing competition areas. Xueyoulong , Snow Feiyan, and Winter Olympic Village are the three main components of Yanqing Winter Olympics venues.

Snow and Youlong refers to National Snow and Sled Center . The semi-barrel track of the snow sled sports event is 1975 meters in length, and 16 turns will slide downward in a spiral shape, with a vertical drop of 121 meters. Such a winding and huge building lies on the ridge of Xiaohaituo Mountain in Yanqing District, Beijing, like a wandering oriental dragon.

Snow sledding sports maximum speed during the competition, the snowmobile has reached 160 kilometers and the sled has reached 154 kilometers, so it is also called on ice F1.

Snow Flying Swallow refers to National Alpine Ski Center . 7 snow trails are like 7 white waterfalls flowing down from the top of Xiaohaituo Peak, the top of Xiaohaituo Peak, which is at an altitude of 2198.38 meters. The slope length of the racing snow trail is 3045 meters, the vertical drop is 894 meters, the slope length of the competitive snow trail is 1118 meters, and the vertical drop is 440 meters.

Alpine skiing includes 4 events: descending , small rein, large rein, and super reincarnation. Among them, descending is very exciting and most eye-catching. It is a 3045-meter long track and a vertical drop of 894 meters. The world record today is as high as 250.7 kilometers per hour, so it is praised by people as the jewel of the crown of ice and snow sports. It is indeed well deserved.

Winter Olympic Village The total construction area is 118,000 square meters. The village was officially opened on January 27, 2022 and closed on March 16. During the Winter Olympics , more than 1,200 athletes and team officials were received, and more than 500 athletes and team officials were received during the Paralympics.

The Chinese team achieved the best results in history of 9 gold, 4 silver and 2 bronzes at the Beijing Winter Olympics, and entered the top 3 in the gold medal list and ranked 7th in the medal list; among them, the best results achieved by the Chinese team in the Yanqing competition area was the men's steel frame snowmobile bronze medal won by Tianjin athlete Yan Wengang.

According to the tour guide, the country has invested a total of 58 billion yuan to build the Yanqing competition area of the Beijing Winter Olympics. The current maintenance cost is very high. The project investment recovery period will be relatively long. But I think it's worth it too.
