In the women's Group A 78kg+ event, Qingyuan team player Liu Wentao passed all the way and met Yunfu team player Ji Tianyuan in the finals. In the final, Liu Wentao performed well and finally won the gold medal. He won the first gold medal in the competitive sports group of this Provincial Games and also got a good start for the host country.
This gold medal is the result of Qingyuan vigorously developing judo projects. According to reports, judo is an advantageous project of competitive sports in Qingyuan, and Qingyuan City is also a demonstration base for judo reserve talents in Guangdong Province. At present, the Qingyuan City Judo Team has nearly 80 people, of which 46 athletes have been selected to participate in this Provincial Games.

According to the relevant person in charge of the Qingxin District Cultural and Sports Center, in order to meet the needs of epidemic prevention and control, there will be no auditoriums for the competition. There is a temperature measurement area at each entrance of the gymnasium. People entering the stadium need to scan the venue code, have their temperature taken, show their itinerary card, and hold event-specific ID to enter. The gymnasium has also set up a dedicated epidemic prevention room and temporary disposal area, and is equipped with full-time epidemic prevention personnel and medical personnel to carry out emergency response at any time when the situation is discovered.
It is reported that as the largest comprehensive sports venue in the region, Qingxin Gymnasium has hosted the judo and blind judo events of the Provincial Games, with a construction area of ​​more than 9,000 square meters, and has hosted many large and medium-sized cultural and sports events. In order to successfully host the Provincial Games and show a good image of Qingqing, Qingqing carried out a comprehensive renovation of the main hall of the district gymnasium and built a new training hall to the north of the main hall. The training hall has a construction area of ​​about 1,000 square meters and will be officially completed in April this year. At that time, athletes will warm up in the training hall and then compete in the main hall. After the Provincial Games, the training hall can be used as a venue for national fitness exercises.
