Nikola Jokic is the MVP of the 2021-22 season, and there is no doubt that he is a transcendent player. He's the best passing big man in the league right now, and quite possibly the best ever. During the regular season, Nikola Jokic averaged 27.1 points, 13.8 rebounds and 7.9 assists per game. It is obvious that his personal performance is very good.
Shams Charania recently revealed that Nikola Jokic has signed a five-year, $264 million supermax contract with the Denver Nuggets. Retaining the two-time MVP is obviously a no-brainer for the Denver Nuggets, and it's clear they can do it.
The Denver Nuggets should be a contender once Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. return from injury next season. They made it to the Western Conference Finals in 2020, and there's no reason why they can't do it again. It's clear that they are one of the most talented teams in the Western Conference, and hopefully that talent will translate into playoff depth.
How far the Denver Nuggets can go next season remains to be seen. The West is definitely going to be tough. However, with the reigning MVP leading the charge, they can beat anyone in a given series and maybe even end up in the NBA Finals.
