The Sacramento Kings have not made the playoffs since 2006, and they have never been super active in the free agency market. There have been rumors throughout the summer that Buddy Hild and Marvin Bagley will be transferred, but there is no news (at least for now). The Kings have signed Holmes, Davis and Harkless, as well as Ryan in the free agency market.

These are all reliable contracts, but they have not made any major upgrades or actions. The 9th overall pick is defender David Mitchell. Mitchell may be the most prepared player in the league, and his backcourt is already crowded. Unless the Kings transfer the shield before the start of the season, it will be difficult for everyone to have playing time.

The Kings’ backcourt currently includes De Aaron Fox, Tyrese Halliburton, Buddy Hild, Mitchell and Davis. It will be interesting to see how coach Wharton handles the rotation.

Having said that, the following are the scores of all the players signed by the Kings in 2021 in the NBA free agency market.

Rich Holmes: A-

In the past few seasons, Rich Holmes has been an integral part of the Kings. It made sense to let him resign, and they arrested him for four years for a high price of $55 million. Considering the appearance of this big man, this is already a lot of money.

Last season, Holmes averaged 14.2 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. His hit rate is also as high as 63.7%. Holmes is also a great shot blocker, averaging 1.6 blocks per game. A team with a large number of guards needs a solid big man, and Holmes provides that for the Kings.

Mo Harklis: C +

Mo Harklis is a solid wing guard who can be the Kings' defense. He didn't provide much offense, but Sacramento signed him a stable two-year $9 million contract.

Last season, Harkless averaged 5.2 points per game, albeit very inefficient. His shooting percentage from beyond the three-point line is as high as 27.4%, which is far below the league average.

This is a good signing for the Kings, but he can't make up for the team's lack of forwards.

Terrence Davis: B-

Terrence Davis is a young defender who will rotate in the backcourt. Last season, Davis averaged 8.7 points per game and made 36.7 percent of his 3-pointers. Davis and the King signed a two-year contract of 8 million yuan, which is a good deal for the King.

He will be a solid backup guard for Sacramento, although if Hield is traded, he may grow even more robust.

Alex Lane : C

Alex Len has always been a good center in his career, but it has never been special. The Kings signed him a two-year, seven million dollar contract-this is a fair contract.

Last season, Len averaged 6.6 points and 4.1 rebounds per game. He has a block per game, showing his defensive value.

He would be a good big man substitute, but he wouldn't be great.

The Kings have had a good offseason, but many people have higher expectations of them. Bagley and Hilde are thought to be traded, but they have not been able to make a deal.

When the team tries to build a team, they will have another difficult season.
