When looking forward to a future community with a shared future for mankind, we must understand that changes in cultural outlook and preservation of accomplishment are inevitable in the history of civilization, and we cannot take a rigid stance of either one or the other. What needs to be clarified with a scientific and rational attitude is that it must be accepted which cultural changes are conducive to their progress and development; it must be changed no matter how stubborn they are.

In the fourth volume of "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China", General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out, "We should vigorously promote the common values of peace, development, fairness, justice, democracy and freedom for all mankind, and jointly provide correct conceptual guidance for the construction of a better world. Peace and development are our common cause, fairness and justice are our common ideals, and democracy and freedom are our common pursuit. Diversity is the charm of human civilization, and it is also the source of vitality and motivation for world development." We must build a new type of international relations, "expand the convergence of interests and draw the largest concentric circle." These conclusions reveal that civilizations in different regions of human beings are different, but they are in exchange and integration, and will eventually build a "maximum concentric circle" that they have. In order to understand the spirit of these conclusions more deeply, this article discusses the issue of changing the cultural landscape in the extension of the civilization circle.

The types of civilizations have been from more to less, from small to large

Civilization took place in the evolution of human beings. In this process, human characteristics gradually formed. As human abilities improve, people's common creations gradually emerged within the ethnic group, such as specific language systems, planted plants, tamed domestic animals, the stereotype of human production (sexual relationships), the emergence of families, the custom of dealing with life stages (marriage, life and death), etc. The commonality within the ethnic group exists in a certain space. Whether in fact or in imagination, the existence of this group of people can be regarded as a circle structure, namely the "circle of civilization".

At the time of the new Israeli scholar Harari pointed out the decreasing trend of the civilization circle, "About 10,000 BC, there were thousands of human civilizations on the earth. But by 2000 BC, there were only a few hundred, and at most two or three thousand. As for 1450 AD, this number dropped sharply. At that time, it was about to enter the era of European exploration. There were still many independent "small worlds" like Tasmania, but nearly 90% of human beings were closely connected and lived in the "Asia-African world" composed of Asia and Africa. At that time, most of Eurasia and Africa (including a large area south of Sub-Saharan Desert) had close cultural, political and economic connections."

The decrease in the civilization circle reflects a major trend: the types of civilizations are from more to less, from small to large. In ancient times, people had insufficient ability to travel far, and American scholar Anthony Pagodon said: "In the past thousands of years, few people have been able to go to places 48 kilometers away from the place of birth (this number is calculated based on the place name that appears in the Gospels. This is almost the farthest distance between Jesus Christ from home, at least at this point, he is not special). " Therefore, the circles of civilizations of different appearances must be scattered, diverse and non-communicating with each other, and the civilizations with various circle structures are small in scale and large in number. Then, with the development of productivity and the ability to travel farther gradually improves, isolated small civilizations can go farther, encounter other civilizations, and engage in contact between civilizations. Further development is the contact between civilized circles (rather than a few individuals). Due to the differences between the two sides, there will be conflicts of civilizations, and the ending will be either one side is destroyed by the other side or merged, which will gradually reduce the number of individuals in the civilization circle, and the civilization circle with "survival ability" will gradually expand in scale.

The expansion of the civilization circle reflects the survival mechanism of civilization

The concept of "survival ability" reflects the biological evolutionary facts of the survival of the fittest and is in line with the law. Only in this way can the increase and decrease mechanism of the civilization circle be understood. The expansion of the civilization circle will first encounter a self-conservative mechanism, because the existence of a small civilization circle is based on the long-term common mode of production, lifestyle and belief of people in the circle. Any individual born in this circle is always shaped by the commonality in the circle, thus forming a commonality for generations. This lineage makes the civilization circle a habitual existence and conservatism. Before being stimulated by strange civilization information, the civilization circle generally does not spontaneously have the desire to change.

With the development of productivity, contact between different civilization circles inevitably occurs. Due to the conservatism of the civilization circle, the contact between different civilization circles is naturally difficult to conflict if a few individuals (such as Zhang Qian into the Western Regions civilization circle, Marco Polo into the Chinese civilization circle) enters a certain civilization circle; but if it is a large-scale contact between people, such as the Huns entering the Han region since the Qin and Han dynasties, Genghis Khan period Mongolian entered West Asia and Eastern Europe, and Europeans entering the Native American regions, often adopt the form of confrontation, a primitive and barbaric way of survival competition. Since it can be understood as survival competition, then, according to the law, the consequences of contact between different civilization circles are generally that advancedness exceeds backwardness, and the formal consequence is that the reasonable large civilization circle incorporates small civilization circles that are behind themselves, that is, merge and fusion. Marx once said, "The Arabs , Turks , Tatars and Mughals who invaded India were soon Indianized - barbaric conquerors, according to an eternal historical law, were conquered by the higher civilizations of the subjects they conquered. The British were the first conquerors who were higher than India and therefore not influenced by Indian civilization."

For India, the problem is not only that the British are not affected by Indian civilization, but also face the changes in the cultural landscape of India - tending toward Britain or the entire European civilization. Brodale pointed out that the middle class formed in India later "takes the British middle class as an example in terms of clothing and behavior", and India's modern life represents a break with religious traditions in almost all aspects. Of course, Marx has pointed out the key to the problem. At that time, Britain had gained a stronger ability to survive in civilization due to the success of the industrial revolution .
