uses the automotive sunlight radiation intensity test chamber for testing. There are two test procedures to choose from in the test, namely cycle test and steady-state test. How to choose the appropriate test procedure? You can refer to the following points.
test program selection:
1. Equipment usage date. The purpose of the equipment to use determines the functional mode and test data required to evaluate the performance of the specimen during and after the test.
2. Expected deployment area.
3. Technical status of the equipment.
4. Expected exposure environment (use, transportation, storage, etc.).
5. Expected duration of exposure to solar radiation environment.
6. The part where the test piece is expected to have problems.
Differences between programs:
Both programs expose the specimens to simulated solar radiation environment, but due to different considerations, the solar radiation load and loading time used are different.
1. Cycle test: Focus on the thermal effects generated by solar radiation, which exposes the test piece to simulate the actual maximum solar radiation in the world, with 24h being a cycle.
2. Steady-state test: Focus on accelerating the photochemical effects generated by solar radiation, which exposes the specimen to the enhanced solar radiation load (about 2.5 times the normal order), and is also a cycle of 24h. Each cycle consists of a 4h radiation-free period to accelerate the realization of the photochemical effects that take a long time to accumulate under normal solar radiation loads. The actual acceleration rate generated by
is related to the properties of the material. Exposure of 2.5 times the natural solar radiation load may not necessarily provide 2.5 times the acceleration result, but if the failure mechanism generated by this test is the same as the failure mechanism expected in the real environment, the procedure is a faster experiment.
